Here's more photos of Black Maria as promised when I finished her on Monday; I'm adding a few from the Build Log as well. I've since discovered a very silly error and one part that I'll be returning to re-do shortly.

Here's the work I want to re-do in the next couple of weeks; I'm very unhappy with the molded prop boss. I'll be pulling the prop and sanding the boss completely off, to be replaced by a PE one and Vector Nuts.

Here's the error; the plaque referring to synchronising the guns after engine or prop change somehow got put in the 11 o'clock position, now who did that?!? :o

Wonderful Kit and Wingnut's engineering is superb on this one. I rushed this Build a bit and hope to try it a second time, it's one of my favorite Great War Aircraft and I know I can produce a better result by giving it the time it merits. Highly recommended to all!
Cheers,
Lance

Thank you for posting more photos, Lance. She's absolutely stunning. Not sure how you could improve on perfection. As I said before, I'm inspired now to do one, myself.
Cheers,
Bud

Excellent build! I built one myself.

Wonderful, wonderful job, Lance. I love your paintwork, the chipping and
general weathering. To do such an amazing job in such a short time is
stunning. As I said before, I will be leaning on your build for inspiration and
practical knowledge. Well done, my friend!
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Lance,
Beautifully done Tripe! Your overall excellent work has me thinking about a second one someday....

It doesn't get much better than this Lance, you have done a superb job, the overall finish is excellent, congratulations and well done.

Great build all around! I like the lower side staining especially. And obviously - the subject.
I would only complain about the photos, in the majority the model itself is as dark as night. Maybe try to shoot against a darker background, or try to use exposure compensation (if your camera allows for it) - thus you would do justice to your fine modelling!
-
A better result Lance? I can only dream of a build like this. Many many congratulations. It's near perfection, what did I say? It's perfection!
Kind regards
Patrick

Wonderful build. Well done.

Thanks all for the positive feedback, it's wonderful to have your work appreciated, especially by your peers. I'm off on the road again today to visit Family before Christmas, back here late on Monday 23rd. Hope to get a few basic supplies in Calgary while there if I can work my way through the last minute Holiday traffic!
Have a relaxing and happy lead in to the Holiday, All, and very Best Wishes to You and Yours!
Cheers,
Lance :)

Have a safe trip Lance and enjoy your stay. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

She's definitely a beauty! I sure wish it were mine.

Your tripe was a beauty too Chris

Beautiful work Lance:
As mentioned in the build log, the weathering and staining are most realistic and display the aritist touch. A very nicely done, truly outstanding model.
Best wishes to you and yours too Lance this Christmas season.
Best

I completely agree - apart from the mistakes that you have pointed out and wish to correct, what else could you improve? Brilliant modelling.
-
Outstanding model Lance. Congrats.
Cheers

Thanks for the positive feedback, Guys. Finally catching up after a late return here the 23rd and then the Christmas "frenzy"!
Haven't done anything at the bench yet with the exception of hours of clean up and organizing, amazing what shows up every time I go through the after-build clean up!
Cheers,
Lance

Lance,
Superb modeling! The weathering, in particular, is exceptionally well done.
-
Fantastic, mighty fine weathering particularly the underside.
-
Stunning, I have to admit I am sorely tempted to build one of the WNW kits, would probably have to sell most of my 1/72 stash to get one though! :o
-
Dan and Justin,
Thanks for your comments. I took it out of the display case last week and readjusted the landing gear which had too much "spring" in it, also re-did the prop to get a better looking hub on it. I didn't have the courage to tackle the misplaced cowling plaque though, it'll probably stay the way it is as a reminder of my carelessness! ???
Cheers,
Lance
