Title: Morane Saulnier typ N - Eduard, 1:48
Post by: KrzysiekK on December 18, 2013, 06:37:00 AM
Hello everyone,

It seems that it would be a short thread, because the amount of plastic parts is rather poor but this is only my first assumption.

Some discrepancies between the possible real outlook and the manufactures outcome are so far as follows:

-          lack of wood floor?? Decided to get rid of it

-          lack of throttle?? Decided not to assemble

I started to adapt the chair to possible look. I do not have any PE parts, so I had to slim down plastic, drilled holes, prepared seat belts from notebooks covers used 30 years ago in primary schools and here it is:

The Morane sounds like an interesting build, Krzysiek.  I don't
know if it is my computer, but I am unable to see any photos.
I look forward to following your project.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

It`s a nice start Krzysiek! The seat looks really good! I would use a drop of some clear gloss enamel for the instrument faces. I use the clear nail enamel - it`s rather thick which helps to create a desired layer. Should you want to use it be absolutely sure that the decal is dry and give it a protective coat of some clear acrylic paint - I destroyed one of the decals because the enamel dissolved it.
Keep up the good work on MS N.

For instrument "glass", you could use Future(Kleer) acrylic floor polish or
Microscale Krystal Kleer.  I have used both and they both work very well.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Sorry for lack of pics..server host failure, now should be ok
Accepted by you, so going deeper..
Let’s take the wings on the desk..
- 1st layer on bottom: H89 with little drops of H57
(http://kosior.cp.win.pl/krzysiek/warsztat/MStN/IS_MStN_8.jpg)
- masking the frames
(http://kosior.cp.win.pl/krzysiek/warsztat/MStN/IS_MStN_9.jpg)
- 2nd layer on bottom: same mixture with few drops of white.
- used same mixture for upper framing
(http://kosior.cp.win.pl/krzysiek/warsztat/MStN/IS_MStN_11.jpg)
- masking the upper frames
- and final Vallejo 71028 will be applied on both sides. Hope it will be worth of doing. will see
regards
K

You were right it was worth of doing.

Going further lets take fuselage into attention. The red color will overweight this thread, so red front was done.
and later on I have looked at the decals and said to myself: those red stripes does not work.So again..

Hi,
I like it very much!! Are you going to chip the cowling and the spinner?
have not intended to do so..have you done it in yours MS?
BTW. prop blades were black painted/lacquered? Any suggestions?
Till now I have implemented some decals with SET&SOL help I found that lost approx 1 mm in blue on the fuselage..so..again little tiny work must be done.

Next step: the engine. I am going to enhance eduard part a little bit with “non commercial items” i.e. “take sth which is close at hand  ;D, so I am in the middle of sth like that:

The map in the cockpit was to be the added value but I am not satisfied out of the result
Nevertheless implemented.

Second thought was to emphasize the longitudinal ribs of wings as seen in Windsock pictures so used soft pencil and results are promising
