Since Telford I've been working on a number of new decal projects - more Fokker D.VII's and Albatros D.V/Vas from Jasta 17, but the superb new Gaspatch and forthcoming Wingnut Wings Salmson 2A2 kits open the door to a whole mass of colourful unit badges and markings for the French Aeronautique Militaire escadrilles as well as the Aero Squadrons of the USAS. The exact subjects of the coming decal sheets will be revealed soon - just as soon as all the options for the Wingnut Wings kit are known........

I am a nuisance, I know. But I would not be myself without asking: How about Polish subjects for Salmsons, Rowan? There are one or two interesting schemes to be taken care of. Rowan, a set of your decals including Polish "Winiuś" with red devil would be the last and decisive reason for me to buy the WNW kit!

I can provide photos... Rowan? Please...

A bonus set of markings for the Memorial Flight 1 1/2 Strutter would also be nice.

Hi Przemol,
I've drawn a profile for Escadrille 580, one of the French units sent to Poland post WWI and that will be on one of the sheets. If I have enough room for the Polish wing markings (which take up a lot of space) then I'd be happy to include one of those also. If you have any photos of the red devil one could you send them to me and I'll see what can be done.
Many thanks,
Rowan

Which unit had that battle axe emblem? That looks really cool.

Rowan;
Now that the WNW Salmson(s) are out, care to share with us more specifics on the subjects that you would like to release?

Helo Eric,
I've been away in the UK for an old friend's funeral, well more of a bloody good party, actually- it was what she wanted and there was no trace of dark suits, black ties and mawkish downcast faces, plenty of tears for sure, but a good few of them were of laughter. Two days of driving and two ferry crossings later and I'm back home an hour ago! So let me digest Wingnut's marking choices and I'll post something in the next day or so. I have around 19 French ones, two French/Polish and ten USAS examples to pick from, some of which mirror the kit markings of course but there will be a lot of variety to add to the super WNW decals, including the other six USAS units of the ten who flew the Salmson.

Sounds like more than an interesting "trip".
We will wait patiently...
