Hello mates!
Another Fokker on my workbench... I`ve scratchbuilt the pulsator and the air pressure gauge, what do you think about the Fokker swirls?

Looks like another masterpiece in the works, Filip! That pulsometer is beautifully crafted and the swirls look just right.
Cheers,
Bud
-
Beautiful start fillip! Like Bud said the Swirls are great and the Pulsometer is excellent!
RAGIII

Hi Filip,
great work on the cockpit, your attention to the details is fantastic.
greetings ro
-
You have made a flying start with this one Filip, and what you have done so far is looking excellent, the swirls look really good.
Des.
-
Oh come on, Filip that's really 1/32 right? Absolute perfection with
the instruments and the swirls are just about right. Beautifully done!
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
thanks! if you say that the swirls are ok I'm going to use this method for the exterior parts of the fuselage. next update pretty soon I guess...
-
very nice work in the instrument pane Philip.
The swirsl look great.
cheers
-
I picked up the Eduard Eindekker dual combo from Telford for £18.50 - the one with the resin models of Immelmann and Boelke etc. Another purchase I hadn't really intended to make, but I'll be enjoying your build Philip; those distinctive cowling swirls are very nice.
Best wishes
Nigel
-
Hello Filip,
Absolutely great! Details are stunning. Fantastic cockpit. You are on the way for a fantastic build.
Kind regards
Patrick
-
Cheers you are too kind!

Those figures are really nice I envy you a little bit... ;)
I`m a little bit disapointed with this model... After a great E.V this one needs some putty (fuselage halves) and some work to make it more similar to E.II than to E.III...
-
Filip,
And I was proud of my scratch built pulsometer in 1:32!??! That is fantastic work, and the swirls are exceptional as well. You have a very beautiful model coming here, I look forward to following your progress.
Cheers,
Lance

Superb is the only word . . . Soooooooooooooooo small 8)
Great stuff
Dave

Hi Filip:
Where do you find such large matchsticks!!! ;D Amazing work Filip! The swirls are nice too. Looking forward to seeing you progress through the build.
Best
Mark
-
Yeah. Those large matchsticks always throw me off! ::)
-
Thanks for all comments! Another update... some sanding and putty was required to close the fuselage. I`ve added the stitching - it`s wire and Tamiya tape. I hope the swirls are visible if not they are there believe me ;) I`ve tried to add some details to Eduard`s Oberursel: mostly scratch and beautiful Taurus`s sparkplugs. I still have to add wiring to them.

Hi Filip,
I can certainly see the sworls, especially when I enlarge the photos, and very nice they are too! The engine is also looking very good.
Best wishes
Nigel
-
Filip,
I am impressed with your progress. Your Eindecker is looking great!
RAGIII
-
That is so awesome 8) How do you do it?
Really great work and so small, detail all
packed in . . . Great stuff . . . Well done 8)
Cheers

I really like the color of the canvas !
You can write what colors to use?
I always work out too much yellow :-\
-
Excellent paint work, Filip, and the engine is superb. Is that the Taurus engine?
Cheers,
Bud

It`s Gunze C 45.Is that the Taurus engine?
Now I`m really really flattered... ;D No it isn`t the Taurus engine - he only produces UR. I in 1/32 scale and this is 1/48.
I`ve modified the original Eduard`s engine a little bit.
-
Wonderful work on the engine, Filip. The sparkplugs are a great addition.
The swirls are delicate and very nice. You are doing a great job of the
Eindecker.
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
Great work on the engine Filip, the spark plugs look perfect, and your fabric colour is really good, this is shaping up to be a wonderful model.
Des.
-
Thanks Des and Ernie!
I`ve managed to put the cowling in place, but it wasn` t easy because I had to sand it a lot since the modified engine wasn`t feeling like fitting in...
I`ve fixed the rudder and elevator in place.

In order to make Eduard`s model look like E.II I had to modify the shape of the right side cowl - it was too small E.IIs had an ammunition storage there.
The most pleasant part of the job lately was the making of Taurus`s Spandau. It is an absolutely brilliant add on and a must have to anyone building an early WWI German plane.

I want to put somewhere a flare pistol I took from the Phoenix model but I have no idea where they were normally kept.
if you have any ideas, please let me know!
-
looks great Filip.
The flare pistol could go almost anywhere, however somewhere there is a picture of Udet clowning around with a P08 in what is probably a flare pistol holder mounted to the side of the fuselage...
-
Your model is coming along beautifully, the machine gun looks great. I will go along with Bo, I have seen the flare pistols mounted on the outside of the fuselage.
Des.
-
Fantastic build Filip, stunning details in 1/48 and your paintjob is top notch. Thanks for sharing your pics.
Best regards, ro
-
Wonderful detail Filip. You're doing a very great job.
Kind regards
Patrick
-
Cheers Gents I`m glad that you like it. I must admit that I derive a lot of pleasure from building this one...
When it comes to the pistol WNW in their instructions to E.II state that flare pistol was usually stored internally but I like the option of having it installed like on von Crailsheim better. I think it won` t be a big mistake to do so since, I`ve seen only two pictures of Bruckman`s E.II in which the area around the cockpit isn`t visible due to the damage.
-
Looks great your E.II.
Adam.
-
Thanks!!! I`ll post some pics tomorrow. I`ve placed the wings and started the rigging - it`s my favourite part!
-
Very nice Eindecker Filip. Great work.
Cheers
-
Another update... I started the rigging - like I said my favourite part of the job. As you can see (1) the flare pistol is attached and I have to add the flares as well. (2) is Spandau feeding chute - which is built from scratch because Eduard doesn`t provide the correct one for the E.II version. Not much work left - a rather quick build it is when it comes to my standards. Thanks for looking!

Extraordinary work, Filip! I hope I can do half as well when I build mine.
Cheers,
Bud
-
This one is shaping up to a real beauty, Filip. Even though it is only an Eindecker... ;)
-
The position of the flare pistol is really good, it looks the part, and the rest of your build is extremely well done, the rigging is superb.
Des.
-
That looks really super Filip!
-
Outstanding work! Looks terrific!!! The rigging is looking great!!!!!
RAGIII
-
Wow! This looks so impressive Filip.

The upper rigging did you cool, and with the lower rigging certainly will not be a problem :D

Hi Filip,
Fantastic rigging and all the way superior painting. Bravo!
Kind regards
Patrick

Very nice Filip. It's awesome.

Beautiful job, Filip. The rigging looks superb. the flare pistol is really
a nice touch.
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Beautiful Eindecker Filip, hope my E.I looks as good.
Cheers
Pete.
-
Thanks gentlemen you are way too kind! I hope to finish the rigging today and will post some pics soon!
Thanks for looking!
-
Beautiful Filip, I love it!
-
Sorry I have only just caught up with this one. I am speechless at the standard you achieve - some of the detail is so small I could not see it let alone make it, even with my magnifier. Totally and completely impressive.
-
Filip,
Magnificent Filip, and your CDL is the best I have ever seen. Very nice work top to bottom and a Build to be proud of!
Cheers,
Lance
-
Thank you very much for the encouraging comments!
I`ve almost finished... I hope the weathering isn`t overdone. I have to carve the prop and to paint the wheels and that`s it!

Fantastic, Filip!
The wheathering looks absolutely well balanced and realistic.
Hat off.
Antonio
-
absolutely superb Eindecker, Filip! The weathering looks just right. Wonderful job
of the rigging. I really admire your modeling skills, my friend. Well done!
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
Absolutely brilliant, Filip! Your rigging and turnbuckles are very realistic and your weathering is perfect. In my humble opinion, it's nearly impossible to over do the weathering on an Eindecker.
Cheers,
Bud
-
Hi Filip,
fantastic job on weathering your Eindecker, what a beautiful build. Thanks for sharing your pics.
Best regards, ro
-
Holy Cow, Filip! I've never been a huge fan of the Fokker Einers...but this is superb. I don't think you are "over weathered". Looks just right to me. It's interesting and looks far bigger than it is.
Well done!
Dan
-
Looking super, Filip!
-
Very very beautiful. :)
Adam.
-
Superb work Filip.
That Eduard kit is a real winner in my opinion. I wouldn't mind having another go at one of these, and if I can come halfway close to what you have achieved here, I will be a happy man!
-
That is wonderful. Well done.
-
Very well done Filip, the weathering looks perfect.
Des.
-
Superb Filip, the weathering looks fine imho!
Beautiful model indeed, well done.
Cheers
-
Hello Filip:
This is turning out really nice. Not overly done with the weathering, the swirls are outstanding as is the rigging. I really like the color of the airplane, looks like fabric. Looking forward to seeing you complete it.
Best
Mark
-
Really pleasing looking little aeroplane, Filip. As Mark mentioned,
the colour is right on. Great job!
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
What a super build! Well done Filip, it looks great.

I humbly thank you for your comments gentlemen! I`ve carved the Germania propeller and I`m wondering whether it`s not too dark. I`ve scrutinised photos of these props and they look pretty dark - sometimes even black... What do you think is it ok or should I carve another one?
One of the screws went off, but it`s fixed already
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND LOTS OF BEAUTIFUL MODELS UNDER YOUR CHRISTMAS TREES AND IN YOUR STOCKINGS ;)
-
Merry Christmas Filip!
The prop is beautiful if it is. If you change it or make another that is a matter for your personal taste but I would be very proud of this one!

I agree with Ian, Filip. To me, the propeller looks "used", which would be
perfect for your eindecker. Happy Christmas to you as well!
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
Filip,
Your prop is magnificent. Having carved a few myself I must say the shape and profile of this one (is it a Garuda?) would be a real challenge, and yours is flawless. Beautifully done!
Cheers,
Lance
-
Fantastic propeller Filip. Matches very well the colors of your beautiful plane. Congrats!
Kind regards
Patrick
-
Hello Filip:
I think the prop looks pretty darn nice! As someone mentioned, if you want to do another to see how you like it, go for it, but from where I sit at the computer, it looks quite good.

Mark

From someone who has never carved one, I think you have done an excellent job on something that I am way too afraid to try ;D ;D
It looks great to me!!
