It seems that the new WNW kits, Fokkers E.I and E.IV, are not too popular. But these news may change it.
Łukasz from Taurus Models is working hard on resin engines - Oberursel U.0 and U.III. He promises to have them ready for sale in two weeks time. Today a small teaser - two shots of the U.III block. I am sure we may expect his usual quality - the highest!

Definitely eye candy! Beautiful casting work. Thanks for sharing
-
I would be very interested in an U.0 engine. It will be very promising, from what I have seen before from Taurus.

Ivo

Put my name on the list for a U.0 engine as well, the detail on these engines is incredible.

Droool, I will be getting the U.III engine for sure!
-
Excellent, I'm in for a few of each...
-
I'll be getting a couple of each...
-
I am sure, Łukasz will be delighted with your interest and you will be so with the final product.
For today - three more shots of both engine blocks. The cylinders are coming...

Hi Des
I have been in touch with Lukasz and the engines are ready. I would say get in touch with Lukasz directly or with some of his distributors, I hope I don`t tread on anybodys toes by suggesting this. I`ve had a couple of his other engines and they really are a work of art. It`s really nice to see the small guys like Lukasz and Ron and Costa coming up with their products. I think the WW1 modelling community all benefit from their efforts. This must really be a labour of love as I can't see anybody making a fortune out of these products. Only thing left for me to do is get a E IV now and figure out where to put and get it past the other half.
Cheers
Andrew
Maybe Lukasz can let us know what he`s got up his sleeve. I would sure like to see a mercedes DIII from him !!! Ps. I'm not involved with Taurus or anyone else apart from having Polish roots.
Come on Rowan what about an all Polski set of transfers 1/32

Lukasz nice to see yours next Oberursel, I have Oberursel UI and I'm planning to install it to Fokker E.III, it is on the way to me.
Adam.

I'm looking forward to receiving my U0 engine, Lukasz has said it will be in the post in a few days, he still needs to make the boxes and get the instructions.

I ordered both the U.0 and U.III. I expect to use them in the future for a Fokker A.1 and Fokker D.III. Perhaps I will be able to use WNW parts too for these aircraft, but I expect to have to make the fuselages and wings myself. Will be a nice excersize. Now just waiting for the matching cowls made by Ron ;)

Ivo

Finally FINISHED!!!!!
Usually I say almost finished, something goes wrong... This time I found mistake (maybe inaccuracy) in valves lifters - this "tongue" at the back seems to have wrong shape. I couldn't stand this inaccuracy, and I corrected it.
Of course I took some time... Ivo, Des, Bo... - please accept my apologies - You had to wait "little" longer for ordered products - I'll try to do something You will not regret :) Each time I'm trying to do as accurate model, as I only can. I can see progress from the time of U.I - crankcase has better shape, junctions of plates are visible, and lifters has better shape :)
OK, let see - brothers together:
My wife ask me to do one of them as a new, directly from manufacture. For me UIII is little unnatural, but is so shinny :)

Oberursel U.0 for me is painted as more realistic:

Absolutely stunning engines. It is well worth the wait and I'm not in a hurry. So don't be sorry Lukasz, it is just getting better. It will be quite a challenge to realise a convincing finish. I'm just a newbie at weathering and I have seen beautiful results here.
regards,
Ivo

It doesn't get any better than this... or does it?!!!
Amazing :o

I don't know....
I suspect that if you loosen a bolt, it will let oil leaking from beneath! :o :o :o

this work kicks out all the engines present on all the benches at now... so sad! ;D ;D ;D

Absolutely beautiful Lukasz. The detail is just superb. It can't be long now until you produce one that actually coughs and splutters into life!
Best wishes

Unbelievable detail, Lukasz. True works of art, and what a boon for
modellers!

Gor Blimey as is said in some parts of GB! These are absolutely fantastic. Not a great fan of the Fokker E series but this could certainly push me into another Pay Pal visit to New Zealand! Respect Lukasz.
-
THANKS!!!
More (and better) pix on my WWW: www.taurusmodels.pl.
Thanks, Lukasz

Another engine, Bentley BR2, for the Snipe, and I haven't even ordered an Oberursel for my EIII. The tools and toolbox are interesting as well; it just keeps getting better! :o
Cheers,
Lance

Today the mailman delivered a registered mail package with a lot of polish stamps. Yes: the U.0 and U.III and some other niceties. I can confirm that they are masterpieces. You have to find good magnifying glasses to really appreciate these beauties.
They will be used for the A.1 and D.III. I will try to order some separate sprues from WNW for the interiors and undercarriage. I am considering making my own fuselages and wings with photo etched brass frames. It won't happen soon. Too many other models to finish.
regards,
Ivo

I'm looking forward to seeing the Bentley BR2 and the tool box with tools, more wonderful products from Taurus.

Superb Stuff Lukasz. Congrats for those two beauties.
