She ended up looking absolutely brilliant Guy, everything about this model is outstanding, the wood, the decals, the overall finish and the figure, all extremely impressive work, congratulations on presenting us with a top class model.

Guy,
Congratulations my friend she's absolutely beautiful. First Class project from the beginning to the end. I'm still totally impressed those tiny nailheads. Well Done!

Guy,
Beautifully planned, beautifully done, and beautifully presented. This is in the "Top Ten" I've seen here, and you have really hit the ball out of the park on this Build. Well done, and compliments on your truly Master Level skills, how do you plan to out-do this one? ???
Cheers,
Lance

Wow, Guy! Jaw droppingly, breathtakingly gorgeous! She'll draw a lot of attention at Telford.

Thank you,
Thats very kind..
I'm looking forward to Telford :D can't wait! The problem with taking so long on a build is you really know every fault. All those fingerprints and blobs of glue! There's one thing taking selected photos and another having someone pore over it with a magnifying glass! :o
I've said before, but what a great forum this is - I've learnt so much and it's a great incentive to try your best with everyone peering at it at every stage of the build!
I'm going to wait and get a model at Telford for the next project. I'm hoping to get inspired by something I see there. I'm tempted to have an interlude from WW1 just to keep things fresh - but I find nothing really matches the Wingnut kits..
Thanks again for all the encouragement along the way..
Regards

Beautiful model.
Now I can on you inspired by doing imitations of plywood.
Congratulations !

Beautiful. The combination of wood and losenge linen is very appealing! Many thanks for sharing.

Hello Guy,
This is a magnificent build and plane. The way you repaired the little accident shows that you are a great modeller. I like very much your pictures too. Many many congratulations. It's a masterpiece.
Kind regards

Superb modelling, Guy! What an amazing Albatros! The figure tops it off
perfectly as well. Thank you for sharing with us.

Fantastic completion Guy, watched with vested interest all the way through ... Artsy pic's are pretty cool too.
I can only hope to get even a little bit close to what you're achieving.
Bloody well done that man!

Very nice, congrats Guy.

WOW! Thanks for sending me the link, Guy. I read you are in Telford? Thats great because:
If you manage to visit the Uschi booth in hall one, I have two fine Bavarian Weissbier waiting for you.
Thank you so much for sharing the pictures.
Things and stories like that is what keeps the spirit high at Uschi“s!
Cheers mate! CU in Telford! ;)

Thanks again for the comments :D
Yep, I'll be there Alex, I'll definitely be coming along to say hello - Bavarian Weissbier sounds great! ;D

Looks lovely - any chance of any photos without the... um.... "artistic" lighting? Would like to see what she looks like under some normal light.
Thanks!

Goodness me no!
You'd see all the blobs of glue and fingerprints then :o
The ones on the Wingnuts gallery page don't have any filters, but still have the same lighting. I know it's not to everyone's taste but it's just my personal preference..

Outstanding work Guy:
I really like the plumbing on the motor. Looks the business, nice and neat, everything in its place; the bends on the copper wire, all inspiring to look at. Good luck at Telford and when you are enjoying Bavarian Weisbier, don't forget to 'sige sage hoi hoi hoi'; I know the spelling is off, but you get my meaning.
Best

Superb Guy.
The wood effect and the lozenge are awesome. Love those spoked whels too.
