Very nice. You have made an excellent model out of a rather elderly kit of a very pretty airplane.
-
Ken,
What a beautiful little gem my old friend. That kit must be pushing 50 or so and still builds up well. Did you use aftermarket details for this gem?
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
PS: Sorry to hear of your back injury and I'm glad you're doing better. Take care of yourself.

Sorry to hear of your back injury Ken, hope you are feeling much better.
The Hawk is a beautiful looking model, and very colourful, you have done a great job with a very old kit.

Yellow wings! Nice! The word on the street is that one may appear in 1/32. Looking at you build sure gets me in the mood to build one.

She's gorgeous, Ken! And so tiny! I'm glad to see you back at the bench, buddy. Here's to a speedy recovery.
Cheers,
Bud

What a beauty! Nice bit of work.

Lovely work, Ken. It's hard to get my head around the fact that it is
in the teeny scale! Beautiful job.
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks Gregory,
Yes I used the starfighter resin cockpit, some resin wheels from the spare box as the Monogram wheels are attached to the spats.... the markings except the national insignia and indian head unit marking are masked and painted .... brass tubing exhaust stubs... and other odds & ends added ... This kit is really very nice even though it is 50 years old....

Thanks everyone!

wow!
I love this colorful aviation era... pretty cool kit!

Hello Ken:
Outstanding little model. I really like the paint scheme and knowing you masked it makes it that much more impressive. These were great kits, well defined surface detail and overall shape. This is a neat period of aviation history and it will be great to see the 1/32 version of this, long over due.
Hope the back is on the mend and you can get back to doing what you enjoy.
Best
Mark
