Hi all
This is my first attempt, at a kit, WNW AMC DH.2  I've read that there is two types of rigging, or there is a difference, between German and British, what do I use for the British Plane and any pointers on doing this, please as a newbie, all advise will be greatly received,  and not just on rigging, if you have built this kit, or know where i can get more info, ect

Welcome to the world of WW1 aircraft models Dave.  You have chosen a rather difficult build for your very first 1:32 scale WW1 model aircraft, the aircraft itself is not that hard to assemble but the rigging is quite complex and can prove difficult for the novice builder. The tail boom rigging is done with round rigging material, I use monofilament which is very easy to use, but Wingnuts call for the flat aerodynamic rigging wires for the wings. Many people have attempted to use this type of rigging material without success, I'm not saying that it can't be done but it is a system I will never try. A full rigging reference guide can be found on the Bob's Buckles website, this is a very valuable reference.

I have not built the Wingnuts DH.2 but I did build the Roden 1:32 scale DH.2 when it was first released and for that particular build i used 0.12mm monofilament for all the rigging, I was very happy with the results. I'm sure that members who have built the Wingnuts kit will jump in and offer you some advice, from what I have heard it is a brilliant kit.

If it was me I wouldn't get too hung up on the different wires, especially for a dh2 where there's loads of them. Saying that I used knit in elastic for the thicker wires and a black ez line for the thinner wires, but use whatever you find easiest cause there's plenty of em. .

As you probably know its a complex beast to rig and I didn't find the WNW instructions overly helpful. I'd do a search for Tim Wests DH2 rigging guide.

However when I follow the instructions it won't open!! Perhaps is something to do with Bob's new website?

will start the build post in a couple of days, just letting some paint dry
