Title: Where can I get a WNWs LVG?
Post by: Gisbod on September 12, 2013, 03:32:36 PM
Hello all,

Just wondering on the state of play of the WNW's LVG C.VI?

Does anyone know if it's likely to be re-run by Wingnuts?

I've got my eye on it for my next build.. Does anyone have an unwanted one to sell in their stash?  ;)

Regards

Guy

Ps.. As it was an early kit - are there any drawbacks?

The LVG was the first Wingnuts kit I built and it was a brilliant kit, it went together very easy, the only drawback is the very close tolerances of fit, all traces of paint have to be removed before parts will fit properly.

Finding one could prove difficult and expensive, there are still plenty around in modelers stash but if they are willing to sell them is another thing.

Wingnuts have been promising Special Edition kits for some time now, these kits are supposed to have excellent PE sets including PE spoked wheels, figures and extra decal options, naturally the price will be higher, I think significantly higher. The LVG is one of the kits which was mentioned as being re-released as a Special Edition, when this will happen is anyones guess, Wingnuts are renowned for their secrecy.

Thanks Des,

That would be wonderful! Perhaps I ought to hang on then..

Problem is it could be forever coming! It would seem logical to re run kits.. They've done all the hard work already.

Talk of the Special Edition kits has been around for two years, it could be another two years before we see them, but then it could be tomorrow, Wingnuts have a reputation of dropping surprises on us.

Well, that answered my question.  I was also hoping for a re-release.
Like they say...good things come to those who wait.  Hopefully Wingnuts
won't take that too much to heart! ;)

Cheers,
Ernie :)

I ordered one days before they went out of stock only to have my parcel lost in the mail (with three or four other kits). Happily it eventually turned up...

Hi Guy,

A friend has LVG and would sell it for 120 USD. Tomorrow I'll call him if he still has.

Cheers,

Vladimir
