Beautiful, LTA! Welcome to the forum. What scale is she?
Cheers,
-
She's a 1:720 plastic revell model. The only problem I have with it is the decals. It didnt come with the Nazi swastikas for the model :'(. Very disappointing.
Btw thanks for the warm welcome :).

Hello LTA and welcome to the forum, so nice to see you here. Immaculate model of the Hindenburg, thank you for posting the photo.

No problem! Ill post some more models later on. Do you guys know if there are any more airship modelers on here besides me?

Hello LTA
Welcome to the forum.
Thank you for the photo. Silly when they leave the Nazi Swastikas out of the box.
Happy Landings
Steven Robson
(mental note: some irony with happy landings for the Hindenburg Steven)

Agreed, they probably didn't want to offend anyone...especially the jews...
-
Yes, this is a good point.
Do Revell make kits of the RAF and United States Airforces aircraft that bombed Dresden, 13 to 15 February 1945?
I think history is better understood without the censors. I also saw a kit of the battleship Bismark without the insignia.
Does this mean that a modeller isn't welcome to display certain national insignia or images on the competition tables in Europe?
Some information would be helpful here.
Thanks
Steven

You can search on Amazon.com. That's were I found my Hindenburg kit. I know they make different types of models. They make motorcycle kits to aircraft kits. I don't know the details on all of it though..
-
Tell us about your display cabinet. Is this an aftermarket product?
My mate puts all his models under perspex to protect them from accumulated dust.
-
Yea I guess it is politically correct. Do you think they will have it for a rudder, and elevator that size?
-
Ill look into it! Thanks!

Hi LTA, welcome to the forum.
Very nice looking Hindenburg.
Thank you for sharing.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum, LTA.
Maybe now you can build something that was designed to shoot down one of your gas bags! Although a Sopwith Pup on Home Defense in 1:720 may be getting a wee bit tiny. ;)
Enjoy your time here,
Lindsay

Thanks pepper man! I tried a habenero pepper yesterday.... Those things are hot!!

Hey Lindsay!
Thanks for the warm welcome! Yea, maybe I can build one of those flying platforms with a huge donut shaped envelope around it!

LTA,
Welcome, I have just joined myself and this is a great site! Also the referance material here is just outstanding. I am currantly involved with the 1/32 scale ww1 aircraft craze thats happening. I did some research about building a diorama with some 1/32 aircraft escorting a 1/32 zepplin. I think I would have to build an addition on to the house or at least vacate the garage. A 1/32 scale zepplin to go with my plane models would be about 17 ft. long. Of course I would have to scratch build this but I found a paper model site where someone has built a zeppin that is about three feet long. I could just scale up the design and build out of light wood and paper.
Also please look around at the aircraft modeling sites. Getting the decals that you need seems like it would not be teribly difficult, or at least painting yourself? Keep posting more photos, I might just build the zepplin I need. Thanks
