Hi guys.
This is my latest from HR model. Yes... it's Immelmanns Fokker E. I. After that great A. II from Oldman it's all I have to offer you gentleman. But i had to had my own Immelmanns Fokker.
Fokker E. I 13/15 was flown by Immelmann while he was in Abteilung 62 along with Boelckes 37/15.
As you people Know Immelmann perished in 18th of july 1916 flying an Fokker E. III (246/16) after a dogfight with Fee's. His Fokker E. IV was beeing repaired.

The circumstance of his death his still debated.
Some will say that he shot away his prop while engaging the enemy and like Boelcke said: " bits of his propeller flew off, the bracing wires connecting to the fuselage broke".
But to those who fired against him, 2Lt McCubbin (pilot) and Cpl Walter (observer) it was quite clear that: "our bullets not only got him, but his propeller as well.", although Berthold stated that " not one single bullet was found in Immelmanns body."

One thing it's seems to be true, Immelmanns fell near Gallaumines because his propeller was shot. The Eagle of Lille was buried on 22 of June.
This is my humble little (1/72) tribute. This model was lacking detail... i tried to go around that with some work, this is what came out.

Bored me?! Hell, Paulo, you inspired me. Now I want to build an Eindecker and I'm not even that fond of the kite. Your painting, shading and weathering, as always, are superb. Congratulations on another brilliant little bus.
Cheers,
Bud

Thank you Paulo for posting the photos of your brilliant Fokker, you have done a superb job with the build and overall finish, and in such a small scale makes it even more remarkable. Congratulations on producing a real show piece.

What a beautiful little Fokker you have built! So well done and so tiny! You have made me regret that I traded away my WNW EIII, I think I will NEED to build an Eindecker someday!

Zabu,
Looks great from where I'm sitting - anyway, nothing wrong with building OOB - well I would say that would'nt I?!
Regards
Dave

Gorgeous little Eindecker, Zabu! All that rigging can't
be easy in 1/72 scale. I admire your patience! I hope to
see more of your works soon.
Cheers,
Ernie :)

A very convincing model and excellent photographs on your "airfield." The finish is to your usual standard - ie extra good. Bored? No way: Immelman's death will always be controversial because he was such a hero to the Germans and they did not want people to know or believe that he had been shot down. That is the problem with creating heroes - they are only human after all.
-
Zabu,
It is an excellent model. The finish and presentation are very well executed. I enjoyed the back story on Immelmann too.

Great work, Sir!
A very nice little model indeed.
Herr Immelmann's fall is indeed an interesting tail. I am of the 'failed synchronizer' school regarding it; there are pictures which show the propeller blade essentially sawn through.

Thank you so much for your nice comments gentleman. Being such a worldwide build model i was a little affraid of showing "one more Immelmanns Fokker ".
@coyotemagic: It's laways nice to know that one inspired someone... being myself inspired from you guys!
@Rag: hey Rag you should go for it! I'm sure that would be quite an state of the art Eindecker.
@Epeeman: your right , there's nothing wrong with an OBB... but well, who doesn't like to have some more little detail hum?
@lone modeller: yeah a little bit like George Guynemer saying: "Capitaine Guynemer flew so high he could not come down again".
@oldman: i'm a 'failed synchronizer' believer myself!
Thanks again
Cheers
