Title: Personal photo album of a German officer in World War I
Post by: Hannover on August 09, 2013, 05:29:09 PM
Not aircraft related, German Army artillery but hopefully of interest!

There's some decent artillery photos in there at first glance, along with their crews

There is a project running to print a book of these photos, including some 3D views, see

Great photos, Peter.  Thanks for posting.  They're more casual and intimate than many I've seen in the past.  It's clear to me, now, why Germany lost the war.  Aside from a few cannons, they seemed to be armed mostly with sticks. ;)
Cheers,
Bud

After all of this years to see a part of this man's life it's amazing.

It's almost a century since WW1 begun, and i hope that forums like this one and others like theaerodrome (sorry if i did have to mention it) may help to give new comers a glimpse of those men lifes.

Thx for those links PDH, I hope that you may achieve your purpose.

Cheers

Thanks for posting them, Peter.  Besides very interesting look at period
equipment, it's a priceless look at some of the people that served in the great war,
with time sadly taking them all from us now.

Cheers,
Ernie :)
