Great photo's Jacek.
Forgive my ignorance, but is the camo original on this beastie?
Andrew
-
Museum of Aviation nothing writes about camouflage.
Shall communicate to that in 1964 he was refurbished.
I do not know anything more about it :'(
Jacek

Thanks Jacek, wonder if they did anything to the camo when they refurbished - it looks to be in good condition.
Cheers,

Hi Jacek
Now that's a very beautiful Halberstadt. Thank you very much for sharing the photos. I agree, it's a most interesting camouflage on this aircraft.
I really enjoyed the close-up of the spoked wheels. When (if) this aircraft becomes available in 1/32 scale, your photos will be a great resource for us all.
Cheers

Very nice pics Jacek.
No wonder that sometimes it's so hard for the experts to try to guess the colors of the paint schemes.
Same aircraft in the outside in a sunny day:

Now Jacek, you've seen it close....what do you think about the colors?
-
Very nice looks on a sunny day, but whether these colors are consistent with the original is difficult to say.
-
Inside compared to outside photos, quite a difference.

Yes, nice juxtaposition Des; the adage "photography doesn't lie" is ... A Big Fat Lie.
-
Interesting contrast between inside and outside shots.
What is the time difference between the two pictures, does anybody know?

Photography a lie ? Just wrong adjust white balance :)

Just to clear things up, yes, all new camouflage and fabric. Some original paint samples-

As you can see, it is most definitely not original, nor is it accurate in color or application. Please don't look to this restoration for an example of correct camouflage.
I believe the large inscription on the fuselage was the original museum signage from it's time in a German museum between the wars. It was common for museum planes to be inscribed with their information at that time.

Thanks BH, very interesting!
The reason I originally asked was due to it looking too 'new/neat' or consistent if you know what I mean. While I'm not going to be making a Cl.II anytime in the next 100 years or so :-\, I find all this stuff very fascinating.
Cheers,
Andrew

Me too :D
