I`ve finally finished the model! I`ve used around 180 turnbuckles for the rigging. My model is one of the two Etrich Taube used in German service. I hope you like it! Link for the under construction thread in 2 seater GB:

Super! Well done.

Simply beautiful! I particularly like several of your images that illustrate the rigging to great effect. It amazes me just how much of it there was.
Cheers,
Chris

Good grief, Filip, what a superb effort. I thought an
Eindecker had a lot of rigging until I saw yours. You
really deserve a medal for patience. A wonderful model!
Thanks so much for giving us something to aspire to.

Ernie

It's a spectacular plane. And I must give you my compliments for so much rigging and so many turnbuckles.
It does make one wonder how much engine power one needed just to overcome the additional drag created by all those rigging wires. But apparantly they were afraid the wings would fall apart without them.

Ivo

Wonderful effort on a difficult model to rig. The painting and figures really set this model off - excellent work. Congratulations.
I note the number of rigging wires you mention because I have a 1/72 model of this which I intend to build shortly - there were only 140 on the FB 5 Gunbus!
-
That's really great -
You must have the patience of a saint undertaking the rigging and turnbuckles!
Regards
Dave

There are nice resin Taube models by Choroszy in 72nd (Rumpler 4c and 3F - on floats ;D) and the price is not overwhelming - around 30$. I would be more than happy to see you build it!

Hello Fillip:
It is nice to see this masterpiece finished. Absolutely stunning!
