Title: The Vignette is done
Post by: Repainted on June 19, 2013, 05:57:46 AM
Hi folks
Been working on this kit since October last year and finally I can say its done`.
You see Wingnuts Albatros Dva with the Bavarian decals, a Mechanic from Kellerkind and the next Mechanic and pilot from Modeller Cellar. The Jasta dog and bird are from Mantis miniatures.

Absolutely stunning vignette, Larsa.  This is my favorite D.Va scheme (I plan on doing this one in 1/48 scale) and you executed it brilliantly.  As always, your figures are superb and the base is perfect.  Congratulations.
Cheers,
Bud

I've got plenty of planes in the stash.  I guess the next project is collecting figures.  Really puts the aircraft in perspective and makes it come alive.  Wonderful results! :D

All components of this vignette are absolutely brilliant, the aircraft, figures and base are each beautifully executed and add up to a stunning, realistic scene. As said before, the scheme for the Albatros is one of the best available and your figure choices are perfect, congratulations on a job extremely well done.

Des.

Very nicely done!
I just did this scheme in 1:72 and it certainly puts some colour in my display cabinet - I'm sure it does to yours too!

Brillent stuff - I love dioramas and yours is great. The figures look really fab. Funny enough I'm doing the same Albie in a vignette entailing the grumpy NCO from Kellerkind, a few other figures and a cow..... It it turns out half as good as yours I'll be thrilled.

cheers

What an amazing scene!  Everything looks like it
belongs.  I am really taken with the figures...they
add so much to the overall feel.  The whole
vignette grabs your eye.  Needless to say the
Alby is a wonderful build on it's own, but you
have complemented it perfectly!  Thank you
for your inspiration. :)

Cheers,
Ernie

Thanks guys for all kind worlds. So what's next, I' will start up the Hannover kit from Wingnut and start up a new Vignette including another Kellerkind and Model Cellar figure, even an horse from Tamyia will be used for this build so I´ll going to be busy for Christmas.
We have the figure painting 101 to complete and a big bust from stormtrooper to.

Hello Larsa:

Outstanding work on the vignette!  The figures are well executed, the base the model, dog and bird, all outstanding.

Nice to see it finished.  I like the Bavarian scheme, very striking.

Best
