Although I cannot speak for Rowan, as I am Richard, but that's a beautiful bird, indeed! In my opinion another argument 'pro' modelling post-war birds! (Needless to say, I like WNW reaching aout into that period, lately.)

Now, if WNW would stick to their original schedule and release the LVG as the special edition they had talked about, maybe we would see this scheme materialize as all the folks who built the kit in the first place would now buy it again, to put it in this scheme.

I missed your original post. This is superb. I have been keen to cover some post-war German civilian machines but have so far been unable to run down their colours (such as the Baumer Aero Rumpler C.IV and LVG C.VI). It looks as if the colours for the Montblanc C.VI are known so..... Perhaps a limited edition set of decals is called for? Thinking cap on.

I reckon this would be an absolute winner for you Rowan. There must be heaps of LVG kits in stashes around the world still unbuilt. Another thing I reckon you should do is accurate LVG stencils for the fuselage sides. The LVG was one of WNW's first kits and the stencils on the decals are just plain wrong. You could include some stencils for the engine numbering and also some red bands for the cylinders while you are at it. And then the LVG strut stencils are too wide to fit the struts properly. Starting to sound like a popular set?
