All,
Having a short break from WW1 model aircraft. So (assuming nobody has any objection!), just thought I would share my just completed build of Miniart's excellent 1/16 Gladiator kit.
I think I've mentioned before that I have an interest in ancient Rome, so this latest release from Miniart really appealed to me.
This is a superb kit - well researched and pretty accurate portrayal of a 'Murmillo' type gladiator. In addition, great sculpting of the human form, well engineered with a nice dynamic 'en garde' pose resulting excellent fit. I really rate this kit highly - just a shame that a display stand is not included in the kit.
I'm no professional figure kit builder, but I was pleased how this one turned out. Unfortunately, the photos don't do enough justice as these pictures do not show the flesh and cloth tones well - looks much better 'in the flesh' so to speak.
I'm looking forward to Miniart releasing the Ernst Udet figure. Just a few pictures below.
Des - I hope this is OK to post here.
Regards
Dave

Very nicely done Dave, your painting is superb. It's perfectly okay to post it here, it is a nice distraction from WW1 aircraft but still demonstrates your modeling and painting skills.
