A very good and free tool for applying putty to seams can be made from one quart (one liter) yogurt containers which have just the right thickness, curvature, and flexible polypropylene. My containers have the recycle number 5 PP on the bottom. Use a scissors to cut vertical strips to desired width. Then cut to whatever length is required.

Great tip! A good excuse for chowing down on even more Yoplait Lemon Meringue Parfait yogurt. It's addictive.
Cheers,
Chris
