Title: 1938 Theatre Card from Dawn poatrol
Post by: RAGIII on April 30, 2013, 03:34:42 AM: I am attaching a photo of an original 1938 theatre card approx. 10 by 14 inches from the Movie Dawn Patrol. It was given to me by an old friend years ago that knew I was into WW1 aviation and a FAN of Erroll Flynn! Any Ideas on the value of something like this?

It started me on my love of old movies, especially war or historically themed ones. The irony, is this last weekend I just watched "A Tale Of Two Cites", which features Basil Rathbone. For years I knew him as Sherlock Holmes, but there has always been the nagging thought that I'd seen him before, yet couldn't remember where. As son as I enlarge the movie poster, there it is. Plain as day, Basil Rathbone. I knew I wasn't losing my mind, as my wife thought!
