Here is my small replica of Pfalz D.III flown in Jasta 18 by Lt. Hans Burckhard von Buttlar from Avelin airfield in January 1918. This is Roden's kit with Part PE interior and some bits around the fuselage and upper wing. The water and fuel pipes were made from tin and copper wires. All in all a pleasant build, Roden's regular amount of putty required to fill the gaps but otherwise nothing worth mentioning. The decals are obviously from Pheon Models. I have both Jasta 18 sets so expect more of red-noses to come.

Wonderful work, especially given the Scale. Well done, and hoping to see more of Jasta 18's Birds, the blue and red are spectacular.
Cheers,

Very impressive. Years ago i built the same machine, in Ruedenberg's markings from JaSta 10, but that came out not nearly as beautiful as your "Man in the moon". I really like that one cannot see that you have drilled through the upper wing.
Congratulations on another fine aircraft. And yes, i do look forward to the next red nosed, Pheon decalled, work of art.

As I said in your WIP thread I love this plane and is one of my enlisted builds although in 48.

I've enjoyed following your build and your Pfalz is most impressive. I know what the plastic is like in certain areas on this kit and you've delivered the kind of crisp results that emulate Eduard quality. Lovely work with the bright colors and washes as well.

Thank you, gentlemen.
I am grateful for all your kind words but it seems you have not noticed a serious blunder! But you are justified, I have only noticed it this morning, though I see this model everyday. ;) It seems that at some point on the way from the workbench to the photo session the model lost the main radiator pipe - quite a visible detail, isn't it? Well, I have not found the lost one so I made a new one from tin wire. It is now in place. Then I have run a new photo session and replaced the old shots.

Outstanding work Prez! I like your weathering and highlighting the inspection ports. Truly an outstanding job, hard to believe it is 1/72nd scale.
Best
