Title: Happy Anniversary!!
Post by: Whiteknuckles on April 10, 2013, 09:07:56 AM
Please join me in congratulating Des and Adrienne for 3 great years of ww1aircraftmodels.com :)

It's been an absolute pleasure to find and follow your website with its informative build logs, reviews and other information.
When you started the forum I, for one, was very excited. It has certainly grown to be the most informative, helpful and good natured forum I have ever been involved with. The collegiality, camaraderie, tolerance, sharing and goodwill amongst the forum's international community is something you and we all can be proud of.

So three cheers and a huge thank you Des and Adrienne  - here's to year 4 and the many, many that follow  ;) :)

Andrew

Congratulations, Des and Adrienne.  I feel my day is not complete without spending some time with my mates here.  This is the best forum yet for WWI modeling.
Cheers,
Bud

And a great three years it's been, Des!  I've also been a frequent visitor and refer to your build reviews and technical treatises frequently, and since you started this forum I find myself visiting and reviewing new posts at least twice a day- before work and before turning in. This has rapidly become the most helpful and inspiring WW1 modeling community I've ever experienced. Here's to many, many more great years of sharing and learning about WW1 and modeling!

Thanks Andrew for your kind comments and for starting this topic, and thank you to everyone else for your very kind wishes, they are very much appreciated.

Adrienne is a behind the scenes worker and if it wasn't for her the website would not have existed, it was her encouragement and persistence that got me to start the website, she is a great wife.

I am extremely happy with the way in which the website has evolved over the first three years, I just hope that modelers around the world have benefited in some small way.

I will continue to update and improve the website and I hope it comtinues to prosper for many years to come.

Kind regards,

Des.

Congratulations with this excellent website and outstanding forum. I found it to be highly informative and the members show excellent modelling skills, helping eachother out with every problem and encouraging the other to venture beyond the present skills and modelling possibilities.

I especially like to join Andrew with this quote:
It has certainly grown to be the most informative, helpful and good natured forum I have ever been involved with. The collegiality, camaraderie, tolerance, sharing and goodwill amongst the forum's international community is something you and we all can be proud of.

Many more years to come!

I'll add my thanks here too as if it hadn't been for your original site, and now the forum, I wouldn't be building WWI aircraft at all.

Cheers,

Chris
