Hello, everybody! I decided not to hide and make on the public building model Martinsayd F.4 Buzzard of Karaya. (and hoping to get tips and advice :)
While little is done, I am the beginning.
The model is constructed in the framework of ongoing duel "red-white-2" for aviation in the Civil War in Russia.

I'm so glad to see you working on this one, Siskin! I've got the Buzzard in my stash, so your build will inspire/guide me.
Cheers,
Bud
-
I will try to portray this one option:
(http://s22.postimg.org/4nxhdshjl/001.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)
It is not clear what were the stars, with or without a border. And there were the stars on the sides of the fuselage.
-
Siskin,
I'm looking forward to following this thread my friend! Outstanding progress to date.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
-
Moving on. Side of the fuselage painted enamel Tamiya cockpit floor - acrylic.

The inside of the fuselage is very nicely done Siskin, I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the cockpit added, and your engine looks excellent.
Des.
-
Nice work on the engine and cockpit.I;ll be following this build.
-
Siskin,
Beautiful painting on the interior my friend. The wood work looks spot on from here and the Hisso looks very nice. Keep up your outstanding progress my friend.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
-
Very nice work on the interior and engine, Siskin.
Cheers,
Bud
-
Wow, nice interior indeed :D

I like that interior woodwork, lovely colours.
-
Made a instrument panel - had to replace the resin frame that runs from the top, and stick a couple of bubbles in the right corner.

Lovely work on the instrument panel Siskin, this will look great when fitted into the cockpit.

Graduated the cockpit, it is not clear where the glue chair, instruction has to do it too high/
-
Imagine the seated pilot, and glue the seat accordingly ;).
Аlready :)
-
Stunning interior work, Siskin!
Cheers,
Bud
-
Lovely work on the cockpit Siskin, and the instrument panel is outstanding for the scale you are working in. Keep at her, this is going to be a real "winner"!
Cheers,
Lance
-
Siskin,
Excellent work on her instrument panel my friend. She's shaping up to be one Awesome build, keep up the high standard of excellence.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
-
Thank you for the compliments, colleagues
And I have a couple of questions for you.
1. For what was a hefty circle to the left of the pilot's seat - to adjust the chair? Karaja somehow ignored this rather big part.
2. Question about color. Aircraft were purchased in England, and so were painted in PС12? And could it be already dyed red stars in England?
-
And we continue our story)). Did the steering wheel (Knocked circle hole punch), and slightly changed the mount seat.

That is a very nice looking seat and the seat belts look great, well done Siskin.

The fuselage was going bad, it took a lot of putty, and even poor quality resin with microbubbles. Forehead radiator had to build from below by about 0.5 mm.
Etched the radiator grille did not even try to collect - it's not for me))).

-
Siskin,
It's a shame she's a putty queen my friend. That being said I have no doubts with your skills and craftsmanship the Buzzard will be a true gem. Keep up the the outstanding works.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
PS: The interior is awesome. Love those seatbelts too.
-
Absolutely brilliant looking cockpit, Siskin. All of your wood and fabric are very convincing. The seat and engine (shame it's hidden) are gorgeous. Too bad about the seams and the radiator. I'm haveing some of the same issues with Karaya's Halberstadt. I know you'll prevail and create a real masterpiece
I'm under the impression that most of the British planes in Russian/Soviet service were flown to Russia in British markings and repainted there. That's why many of those planes had white, blue, green or black discs under the stars.
I look forward to your next update.
Cheers,
Bud
-
And here is by the way, you are right about the circles I have not yet thought about it. Although Karaja gives the Russian version white circles under the stars, I think, were green. I will consult with our experts.)
-
Beautiful progress on this one, Siskin. The interior is top-notch with excellent woodwork. Looking forward to see more.
-
Just catching up on this one. Amazing interior work. Im sure you will be able to salvage what appears to be a rough kit. Keep us posted as so far its great!!

-
Thank you, colleagues!
And a little more:

(http://s22.postimg.org/k2fbxzf5t/021.jpg) (http://postimage.org/)
Many small voids and bubbles in the edge of the wing - it is a bit annoying.
-
Good to see the wing going on. Your pinning looks like it should hold the beast together well!!
Steve
-
I love to make and mount securely - for ages))). My models, dropping the table, do not break :).
-
Began to paint. After the primer blew out spray TS-46. And then painted with acrylic Gunze.

I cut out the stencils on the plotter, their quality is satisfactory. Stars also put make-up through a stencil.

I too like the coloring. Very delicate and realistic. I plan on trying a resin build soon. If it looks this good, I'll be hooked.

pepperman42 , NinetythirdLiberator - Thank you, colleagues!

Very impressive. Thats very precise work!!

As you can see in the photo, had to cut the rack in length, 2mm. (!) And the rear pillars must still cut by about 0.5 mm - and I did not.

Steve
-
Wow! Wonderful.
-
Looks terrific! Shading, rigging, overall look.
I would only complain about the dark photos and red stars.
-
Impressive model. and congratulations on making a plain brown kite look so interesting! ;)
-
Congratulations Siskin on producing a beautiful looking model, the painting, decals and rigging are all superb, extremely well done.
Des.

Thank you all, glad that you liked it)).

I would only complain about the dark photos and red stars.
Well, finally criticism)) Here too little).
Photos I took in the evening under floodlights - it was necessary urgently give the model the customer, and I was in a hurry. Made them lighter, but probably not enough.
And the stars - what about them? Perhaps it was necessary to allocate them stronger ribs ribs?.
-
Photos are better but might be even better. The problem is that the upper wing leaves the fuselage in shadow. To avoid this I usually place the lamps at the level of the camera lens, to illuminate the object faces which will appear in the photo.
As for the red stars, it is nothing related to modelling. It is my very private allergy, I do not like them in general. Do not pay too much attention to this remark...
-
Siskin,
Congratulations my friend the F.4 turned out magnificently. Absolutely beautiful paint, weathering and construction.Overall an Outstanding project of the highest order. She's a fitting tribute to your Master Class skills and craftsmanship. As to the pilot figure, very very impressive work. Well Done.

What a fantastic build this is. I missed it because I wasn't member of the forum during your build. A great job you've done there. Beautifull plane all so well finished. Cockpit, engine, colors, all really awesome. Congratulations.
Kind regards
Patrick
