I'm building the ancient 1/48 Inpact Hawker Fury kit for a GB on another site. I am going to convert it to one of the Hispanp Suiza engined Spanish Furies from a set of plans in a 1959 issue of Aeromodeler magazine. The kit doesn't provide much in the cockpit, so I scratched up this structure to make the interior look busy (still more details to add). I am impressed by the old kit's precision fit and nice detail. It must have been light years ahead of contemporary toolings from Monogram, Revell, and Airfix. I paid a whopping $3.50 USD for the kit.

Great stuff -The Gladiator, Flycatcher and Bulldog were pretty good too!! Last I saw Lindberg had them.

Nothing wrong with this little kit, good luck with the conversion.

I'll be following this- it's a beautiful aircraft, but surprisingly few kits made for it?
I keep meaning to get hold of one of the Silver Wings kits. They're a bit expensive, but look fantastic, and I love the look of the 30's aircraft.

Beautiful start, Rob. I'm really going to enjoy watching this one.
