Simply gorgeous, Rick! This is the classic D.VII scheme, in my opinion, and you executed it beautifully. Fantastic job all 'round.

Hello, RAGIII -
Your model looks great. I'm starting to wish I had gone for one of these alternative schemes as opposed to the one I went with on my build ...............

Michael, Thank you for your kind words. I like to say that this is what an average Modeler can do OOB with what WNW supplies ;)

Great job. I have a couple of these in the stash but must confess that I'm not entirely in love with the Fokker DVII although the more I see of these lovely builds, the more it grows on me!

Thanks Graham! If you fail to get the interior framework lined up properly the resultant fit issues can cause difficulties. Other than errors by the modeler this kit is excellently designed and is really an easy and satisfying build.

Stefan,
Sorry I somehow failed to respond to your comments. First thank you! I think I might have added a third after you commented. I have lots more photos but didn't see them as dark? I will look through and see if any add to the enlightenment of the build :P

Better late commenting then missing this; nicely done RAGIII, neat scheme and a real eye catcher. I really like the mix of early/late markings, adds a unique element to the aircraft.
Cheers,
Lance

Lance,
Thanks for the comments. This scheme appealed to me in many ways. I model JG1 aircraft and needed a Jasta 10 bird in my collection. The Lozenge and Streaks, and of course the mix of markings. The yellow seems to set off all of the different colors. I may do a similar scheme again in the future only I will paint my own streaks.

Sorry for the delay my old friend but here's the requested link to my Nieuport 28. She's still sitting on the bench incomplete and gathering dust.

Gregory, thanks for the Link. I am going to attempt to build the seat/s in 1/32nd scale. I hope you finish this one as it is an outstanding project and example of craftmanship.

I've been away for a bit - personal business and working on Wingnuts Wings kits. I have the D.VII (Fok) kit and this was the first scheme that caught my eye. I am glad to see your build because it reinforced my notion that this is the classic early D.VII scheme. Nice work. I think I will do the same one.
