I haven't had much of a modelling window this season, but I did manage to crank out this Roden Tripehound. I thought it was a good kit, and the decals went on just fine. The harsh outside sun combined with the camera make the wing roundels look a bit bubbly, but they don't appear so to the naked eye.
Supposed to resemble Robert A Little's 1st BLYMP paint scheme I think.

That looks like a lovely precise build. It looks like there's some nice subtle paintwork there but the sunlight is a bit strong and may be hiding it a bit. Great work on a kitr taht doesn't seem to get built much.

A fine model from a rarely built kit (I remember there are some issues with the fuselage length - matching the prototype but not the serial machine). Thanks for sharing
As for the photography, direct sunshine with shadows give too much contrast - not the best setup for taking photos, indeed.

Superb model - especially from a Roden kit which I hear do not always get the best of reviews, although I know that Epeeman likes them very much. An attractive scheme.

That looks excellent, Warren - well done. The rigging turned out beautifully.

Thanks Nigel, Prez, Stephen and Gary. It was Gary's build of a Tripehound last year that got me fixated on this aircraft, and then I saw one at Hendon.

The Sopwith Tripe is a lovely kit and you have done a lovely job on her, Warren.
Well done!

Lovely work Warren. I very much like the wood tones and subtle weathering.
