Almost 2 years to the day since I started this, I have finally got it over the finish line and into my display cabinet. It's not the easiest of kits, but it builds up very nicely with a little thought and effort.
I built it as the mount of Major Edward "Mick" Mannock during his time with 74 Sqn RAF. The roundels are replacements as the kit items disintegrated and the fuselage markings were painted. Rigging is my usual 0.06mm monofilament fishing line, drilled and threaded. The gunsight was replaced with brass rod and tube, and after-market guns were used. The cockpit was detailed including correcting the seat. Other than that, it is pretty much as supplied by Roden. A nice little addition to my cabinet!

One of the underwing decals slipped and is a little too far outboard, but there's no way to correct that now.
Thanks for looking in. I hope you like her, and I hope Dave would approve!

Nice. I remember this is not an easy kit. Congratulations on a nice addition to your collection.

Made a nice job of that one Ian
I'll confess they're not my favourite aeroplane, but I really like the look of yours and might revisit one I started a while back :)

That is a very nice kit. I have built one and it required a bit of sanding and some replacement parts but builds into a good model. I have the Pheon decal sheet so I will build a few more in the future.

If you hadn't told me I wouldn't have noticed!

Totally excellent model, very good example of your great skill and the actual high quality of the Roden kit.

That is a very nice addition to your collection. Super extra details and never mind about the underwing roundel as most people will never see it!

Great job on my favorite allied aircraft. Nice work with the double lines which are particularly difficult in this scale!

Nice clean job! Mick would've been proud...Dan
