I just finished the Airfix 1/72nd scale F4F-4 in Joseph Foss Markings from Guadalcanal. Built almost OOB with MRP and Tamiya paints. The ventral drop tank is Eduard Brassin, originally intended to use With the Arma kit. As always, the bulk of the weathering is done with Oils. It was a distraction from the Be2c as I contemplate masking a ton of ribs ::)

You built this as a distraction during the Be2 build!!! :o
It's gorgeous (as always) and I envy your productivity.
I did the rib masking last week and it wasn't too bad. I even used the wrong tape initially and had to strip an entire wings making and re-do it ::)

Excellent build Rick ! Will agree with Brad the new gen of airfix kits are up there . I still have a couple of their 48 Mustangs in the stash .

I'm another big fan of New Airfix - there have been several recent releases I want to build even though I have little to no interest in the subject, they just look so enjoyable to build.
I wish my distractions would come out this well. Beautiful work, RAGman! This is a real honey.

What a nice little gem, Rick - well done. Really like your subtle weathering touches on what appears to be a very nice kit.
