Going to give this kit a try! Airfix Be2c, to be built mostly OOB.

Nice choice RAGIII, I've seen a lot built straight from the box that look good.
A surprisingly wide number of differences in the usual Linen or PC10 schemes (I rather like the early ones with roundels painted on the tailplanes presumably because they were easy to reach)

Looking forward to your take on this one!
-
Excellent, it really is a great little kit.
-
Thanks Paul, Przemo, and Nigel. I have begun work on the interior painting. Someone challenged Me to use the supplied paints so I have done so on the interior. I did add Oil washes 8) Looks a bit messy but when all is done should be OK for what is seen!

That was me that was ;) ;D And well done for doing so!

Excellent choice Rick and a great start. Really looking forward to seeing more of your work as I have two of them in my collection.
All the best,
Tim

Really nice to see you building a real aeroplane again Rick. I always wanted to build one of these in my former modelling incarnation, but there were no kits available at the time. Too late now as I only scratch build, but I will enjoy watching you build yours.
Stephen.

Looking good so far Rick

Thanks folks! It's been a while but I did make some Very slight progress. Some semblance of see through is done on the wings. I am now ready to finish the interior.

That's looking very nice Rick, just enough show through IMO. Keen to see this come together....

Good to see this one progressing Rick. The BE 2 was such an important type in the early war years that it should be represented in this GB by someone!
Stephen.

Looking forward to seeing more progress on this Rick.

Thanks Stephen, and yes the Be series does hold a place of importance in the early airwar period!

Nice linen effects Rick. I also like the light blue roundels.
-
Coming along nicely now. Good to see a full linen version being built (there are some fabulous early schemes which are very tempting)

Thanks Tim. Not exactly what I envisioned but it's OK. As for the roundel color, it'sOOB ;D

Thanks Paul. I am sure there are plenty of schemes out there. In this case Airfix made the choice 8)

Sorry Rick, I was being sincere about my liking the blue coloring. Up until sometime in 1915 the British used the designated VB1 color for the outer blue color. It was changed to a darker hue due (VB2) to rapid fading and poor adhesion to the fabric surface. I plan on using the kit decals on my future build as well.

I actually wasn't offended and had No intention of being defensive. I was merely pointing out that I had no part in it being the correct shade ;D
