i would imagine there will be quite a bit of interest in them :)

Seems kind of pricey to me ???
Way too pricey - they are trying to drive up the value of the kits with the 2 OOP kits, notably the W.29.
You'll also have to pay for delivery.
Looks like a poor deal.
-
Price reduced to $1,400.
-
With the AUS$ and the US$ pretty much at parity that works out at about $340 per OOP kit, if you bought the other kits new at todays prices.

Indeed - incredibly poor value, especially when you factor in the additional shipping cost compared to WNW's free shipping, at least an extra $200.

The sale ended today and the guy received two offers, ebay does not disclose what the offers were or if they were accepted, so if we see a heap of WnW kits back on ebay but selling separately we will know he didn't take the offer.
There is also a W29 and an LVG on ebay Australia, the LVG has reached $152.50 while the W39 (currently listed at $99) has not attracted a bid, there is still three days left for the auction.

I'd pay about $150 for a W-29 but no more. I am guessing that's what the special editions will be close to although I would prefer to see another production run of the standard edition as there does still seem to be a healthy demand.

It's re-listed at $1,400 excluding postage.

Dekenba,
Do you mean $140?!?? Good lord, not a chance here at $1400!
Cheers,

well Lance., it's 11 kits Lance including 2 OOP -- but if you do the math he's trying to get $720 for the Hansa and the LVG, plus the rest at full retail, all plus shipping, so it's not a very good deal yet :P
-
I'm not sure the seller realises that the available kits carry no shipping costs - it really blows a hole in the $1,400 figure
They will do well to get near $1k, if that.
-
The WNW lot did not sell, and has been relisted for AU $100 less. What a bargain! :)

On a related note, a W.29 was offered as a fixed price listing for $280 yesterday, and sold within a day. So there are people willing to pay a lot for the OOP kits.

Given there's a good (better then that IMHO) chance that these OOP Kits will be re-released (if only as "super-kits) I'd still say things are well over priced. Perhaps I'm not the typical perspective customer however I have enough WNW Kits in the stash to allow some time for the price to come down or, better still, the re-release in some form.
Cheers,
Lance ;)
-
$280 was a fair price for the W.29 considering some have sold close to $400, demand for this particular model will ease off, as each one is sold that is one less customer looking for the kit and there would only be a certain number of people looking for or wanting this kit. I'll be keeping my eye on the one on Australian ebay at the moment, it is listed at $99 and has not had a bid, only two days left for the auction.
Des.
-
The W29 fetched $195.16 while the LVG sold for $152.50 - it appears the popularity for these kits is fading.
Des.
-
I think there are a small number of buyers, so when a flurry of kits becomes available - as now - the price goes down.
When the next W.29 or LVG comes up for sale in a couple of weeks I expect the price to increase again if it's the only one available.
-
The guy who was trying to sell the eleven WnW kits has now advertised the W29 and the LVG as separate items, they are listed at $200 each and as of ten minutes ago (8.30am Sunday) there were no bids, the auction ends tonight my time, they are on Australian ebay, toys and hobbies, model building, military aircraft, 1:32 scale.
Des.
-
The W29 sold for the asking price of $200 and the LVG did not attract one bid, it has been relisted for the same $200 price.

An absolute flurry of WNW on EBay in the UK - 17 from the same seller!
Might have to put a couple of bids in.....
-
Saw that, to avoid saturation lowering prices they all started at £50. As usual some have gone mental. I might be interested in a couple if the bidding stays free on them. The ones I want are not the headline grabbers so it might work out.

Don't want to teach you to suck eggs but check the prices for these kits on Hannants. The WNW late Snipe on ebay is up to £66.90 + £5 P+P. It's only £69.99 from Hannants, plus P+P of course but I can't see it's worth bidding a lot more. I am bidding on one of the listings by the way & currntly high bidder, shan't say which but I won't be increasing my bid!
-
I can't understand why anyone would bid on kits that are available from Wingnuts, the late Snipe is $69US and free post, the current bid of £66.90 ($101US) plus post is way higher, just doesn't make sense.

Des,
VAT of 20%, plus an £8 processing charge, is levied by customs when it enters the UK. This also slows up the process somewhat.
That explains the apparent difference.

A $69 kit translates as £45 once you add on the £8 processing fee and about £7 VAT it then becomes considerably more expensive, so if you can get it around £55 including postage there is a small saving to be had. And it gets here quicker. Saying that eBay UK prices are generally too high to make it worthwhile buying for me so I tend to buy WNW kits in bulk to reduce that £8 fee.
-
OK, just been outbid on the early Snipe which takes it beyond the Hannants price ???
-
Once again I cant complain about Can Post. Although erratic on what they do and dont duty, only once has a WNW been proceesed for it. All the rest came straight through with no additional cost and within 2 weeks.

We are very fortunate here in Australia, no import duty or taxes on anything under $1000. :) :)
Des.
-
I am not so fortunate in that case, living in Germany. 19% Import tax has to be paid for anything above 22€. Above 125€, it is 19% import tax plus an additional customs fee od, i think 9%.
For me it is better to order kits one by one, just to get around the customs fee (and our customs never fails to detect a parcel from Hobbiton Wellington, always eager to charge iport tax...)

Like Steve I'm subject to the "do or don't do Duty Policy" of Canada Post, been stung only twice on almost a dozen WNW orders. (and inconsistent amounts don't you know??) My Snipe arrived recently and was again no additional taxes, duty etc. Best not to ask the question............... ::)
