I finished this little kit a while back, but between travelling and life getting in the way, it took me ages to get around to taking and posting the final photos.
My final verdict: this is an excellent little kit! It is straightforward to build, offers great surface detail for its scale, has a pleasantly low parts count, and everything fits together really well.
Sure, it is not on the same level as a Wingnut Wings kit, nor is it trying to be. But if you are looking for a solid, enjoyable 1/48 Roland D.III to build without any major headaches, this one is a very strong choice. Highly recommended! :)

I like the effect you?ve achieved with the camouflage. It adds depth and interest. Very nicely done.

Looks like a greatvkit indeed. And excellently built, too.

It may not be WNW in origin but it looks the same in terms of quality. Excellent.

Well done on completing this one, you did a great job. I'm also glad to hear that there are improvements being made (like reducing the rib tapes).

Great to see one of the less glamorous aircraft getting the treatment by a manufacturer for once and good to hear that some suggested improvements are being incorporated into the kit version. Hopefully will prove popular enough to encourage some other designs :)
Nice job on the build as well

Let me echo what Will said. The camo job is really cool. Nice job and neat kit.

Beautiful model and really nicely built and painted!
Together with its predecessor, the Roland D.I/D.II, this model is a MUST in scale 1/32.
I hope the manufacturer knows that? ;)

Thank you everyone for the nice words, I really enjoyed building this and I am looking forward to the next one :)

Hi Bertl,
I just talked with Mitko and he is finishing and starting to ship the 1/48 Armstrong Whitworth F.K.3. As per his words next will be the 1/32 version of the Roland DII/DIII with reworked fuselage, sturdier wings and bigger tolerance between the parts. So lessons learned and hopefully a better product offering.
Have a great day,
Sasho
