The model has the markings of the machine stationed at the base in Trieste, which was flown by, among others, the base commander, Captain Gottfried Freiherr von Banfield. I made many modifications to the model and added some additional elements. One of the elements made from scratch is the open compartment with fuel tanks. Many additional components have been added to the engine, such as - oil tank with installation, fuel lines and throttle control cables. I also modified the cooling hoses which are incorrectly specified in the manual. I also modified the struts in the model, because the L 75 had narrow struts, which I made from profiled Albion tubes. I also used a few commercial add-ons, a schwarzlose machine gun from GasPatch, and a wonderful forged wooden propeller from Alex at Proper Plane. For the main lines I am using for the first time synthetic braided boat lines MOROPE by Mr. Andreas Gondesen. The model is demanding and its construction requires a well-thought-out plan to make the work easier and not paint yourself into a corner. Have fun watching!

Szymon,
I can only echo Paul's compliments here, what a beautiful piece of work! My first impression of the leading photo was that this must be a restored aircraft in a museum setting, it is such a realistic replica and the detailing is in a very rare class of it's own. The wood grain effects and particularly your treatment of the shading that portrays the frame structure under the panels is remarkable!
Congratulations on completing a truly incredible and fine example of the Scale Modeler's art, this is right up there with the very best I have seen on this Forum since joining more then 15 years years ago!
Cheers,
Lance

Absolutely stunning work on a challenging kit. Superb craftsmanship all round, the quality of the finishing is top level. You should be justifiably proud of this amazing model. Thanks also for sharing such lovely photos which allow us to see this in detail.
I've seen people using MOROPE on a few builds and I might give it a try. Thanks for sharing the information.

Thank you, gentlemen. Your opinions are a source of motivation for me, and I'm glad you like this model. Building it wasn't easy and took a lot of time, but I think it was worth it.

The detail on this is so good it's like looking at 1:1 scale!

Modelling poetry, pure maestry. Enough said.

I'm astonished at the realism & complexity of this model - one of the nicest pieces of work I've seen here in all aspects. Very well done.

Once again, thank you all for your kind words, maybe the photos of my model will help someone build a Lohner in the future :)
-
Majestic model, sheer class.
I have this kit in my stash but have been a bit apprehensive about setting to with it. Your beautiful build has probably terrified me even more! Congrats on some great work.

Quite simply really awesome craftmanship. Headware off, gentlemen.
Are the turnbuckles and other wire attaching points scratchbuilt?
-
That is absolutely incredible!
-
Wow! Probably the best single example of WWI modeling I?ve seen. Bravo!

Ditto to all the above !!!!!
