If anyone wants to see most of the WWI models that were at Scale ModelWorld, take a look at the latest Great War SIG Newsletter. It's free and you can download it from this link:

Thanks for sharing. No model shows anywhere close to where I live, so it's nice to see these pictures.

My goodness, what a range of builds - wow! The Handley-Page(?) seaplane on page five in particular stood out for me, although there were another half-dozen (at least) I'd love to see more of. Thank you, Nigel!

The Handley-Page(?) seaplane on page five in particular stood out for me,
it It's actually a Blackburn G.P. anti-submarine floatplane. It's based on the Contrail vacform with a lot of scratchbuilt additions. The modeller is Steve Cox, who likes vacforms and obscure subjects!

What a great newsletter, Nigel. And thanks for all of those photos of the WW1 displays & entries. Sounds like a splendid time was had by all. When my brother Tony arrived back (delayed by a "flippin' flat tyre" when heading to Heathrow) we had a good de-brief over the phone and he mentioned stopping by the Great War SIG table again. Perhaps I'll have to join him one of these years...life's too short!
Cheers,
Gary

We did indeed have a great time Gary. I met with Tony briefly and had a quick chat, it was good to see him. But of course we'd love to see you there one day. Life is indeed too short, you'd better make it before too many years pass by........ ;)
