This is the Karaya 1002 kit. 1/48 Roland build Halberstadt CL.IV. I used Microscale lozenge for the covering and tapes. Had cracking issues that showed up on some of the lozenge long after the decals were applied and clear coats added. Not sure what happened but I didn't want to start all over. It also didn't help that I dropped it when almost complete. Surprisingly it didn't break apart but cracked some wing joints and struts. I wasn't able to get it back as aligned as it was before, but close enough for me.

I wasn't aware of this. Does anyone else have issues seeing Imgur photos? What is another good way to post photos that everyone can see?

Yes, it's only happened recently and caught all of us by surprise. The UK introduced some new data protection laws and Imgur refused to comply so now folks in the UK just get a "content not viewable in your region" message. I'm UK based and had to switch to Flickr, which still works fine.

I'm new to adding stuff and sharing from Flickr.
Here's a test photo....maybe

That's a lovely build, the end result is most striking! The interior looks fantastic as well, very nice woodgrain and detailing.

Super duper 8)
That's a really colourful end result. I love the ragged overpainting on the fuselage crosses which is a nice touch typical of the rest of the builds thoughtfulness

Fabulous build! Funny enough I just purchased 1001?. Couldn?t resist the black and white stripes.
Cheers

That is truly beautiful - well done indeed. Excellent work in so many aspects.

This is an absolutely gorgeous build! I've been looking at the Mirage Cl.II and Cl.IV kits, so its interesting to see the Karaya kit built up so well. Thanks for re-posting your photos on Flickr, too!
Cheers,
Mark
P.S. thankfully, it didn't suffer from its little accident!

Thanks for the complements.

The overpainting is my best guess of how it looked. Not much to go on. I only found one photo of this plane which is a photo of the two brothers that served in the same unit, with this plane in the background. There is another photo of the other brothers' plane, which shows some of the overpainting of the factory lettering over which the skull was painted. I assumed the same overpainting of the factory cross and lettering was done on this plane as well.
I don't know if there were Granatenwerfer grenades used on this plane, but I wanted some on one of my builds.
