This project took a long time because when I finished it over a year or two ago I didn't like the way it looked. The top wing sat too high. So I tore it apart and started it again. I had to shorten the outer wing struts and then scratch the cabane struts.

There are many variations to this aircraft. Camouflage, armament, upper wing cut out and rigging just to name a few. I believe the Toko kit is from the 115 series production run. This kit is not entirely accurate for the version I built but it was close enough for me

The unsynchronized machine gun did not last long as pilots complained that it was useless. This aircraft was unique in that it had lower wing crosses on a white field. Black and white photo was from the windsock datafile for comparison

Choroszy Modelbud makes several versions of this aircraft so maybe some day?

Beautifully handled
The shortened struts make a big difference to the correct overall look of the model

Very nice! Your upgrades and corrections all look great making the aircraft more accurate looking. I like how you've done the camo, wonder if that's what was considered the "summer" camouflage?

Yes, It was called autumn leaf and it was applied in the field. I understand that many Austrian aircraft had this camouflage.

Americal Gryphon used to do several versions of this sort of camo, in 1/72nd. I got some before they stopped trading, meant for AH Albatrosses, and they worked quite well, but TBH it's not that much slower to do by hand (although you've done it much better than me, yah boo hiss). Anyway, this one, with the corrections, is the best rendition of the kit that I've seen. Very nice.

Lovely job, it was worth redoing it. Fortunately any inaccuracies will be hard to spot in this scale.... ;) I think you did an excellent job on the camo, the model overall looks great.
I've built the Choroszy kit, it's really nice, no major issues IIRC.
-
A fine effort! I like those leaf-camos! Congratulations!
-
I agree that the leaf camouflage has been exceptionally well done. Not a type I am familiar with so all the more interesting.

Looks Brilliant and I love the camo.

Very nice - I like the Autumn leaf camo. I had the same issue with the struts on a chorozy kit - had to take it apart 3 times before it looked right.

Very nicely done, I love the camo!

As the others have said: very nicely done!

Very well done and an excellent representation of the automn leaf camo!

Looks great! You made especially good work regarding the mottled finish....looks like the real thing!
