Just completed KP Nieuport 11 that I built along side the HR model Nieuport 10. Overall a better kit than the Toko Nieuport 11. There are some errors in this kit. I sanded off the starboard side fuselage panel and replaced it with a scratch built one. The landing gear is much improved over the Toko kit. The windshield is useable but I should have used an extra from the Eduard Nieuport 17 kit. Rear cabane struts were scratch built.

I borrowed the gun mount from the Eduard PE kit. Rigging was .004 stainless steel. The kit does not have the lower wing projections( fairings) that are typical of most Nieuport fighters. I had to scratch these.

Weathering was with graphite. Model depicts that flown by Alvaro Leonardo Italy 1917.

Excellent work, and nice additions. I really like that colour scheme, it's great to see it built.

Looks great in that colour scheme.

A lovely little build! Indeed a shame that KP got the model itself somewhat wrong, but she looks very nice none the less.

Lovely job. Love the Italian colors.

Excellent work Rip. Thanks for sharing your experience with this kit. I will build the same scheme sometime soon. I believe that Alvaro Leonardo may have dueled with Gottfried Banfield in this aircraft.

Great work! It is a really tiny plane, but you have managed to get it look just right. Congratulations!

A silk purse out of a sow's ear for certain. Nice work on a crappy kit.
