Title: Eduard Fokker Dr.1 1/48 X 3
Post by: Naimbs on May 05, 2025, 05:34:02 AM
Hello friends,

I've started assembling three Fokker Dr.1s from Eduard.

I had a ?wreck? from which I recovered the PE parts.
So I opened a weekend box, and a Dual Combo box.

That's how far I've come in just a few weekends of work.

The ventral lacing of each Dr.1 follows. I cut 1.8mm wide strips from tin foil (very thin, I don't know the thickness), and then from PE from Part.

I finished pre-shading the upper surfaces and fuselages:

I started the wings with fine oils for this first Fokker Dr.1. It's not finished yet, there's still a lot of work to do to get what I'd like.

And one of the other two fuselages:

I hope to finish soon, but it takes a long time with a brush...

See you soon! :)

I presume you'll add the blue wrap around the lower longeron later?

Lovely work! No way could I maintain the interest and consistency for a batch build like this. I really like your streaky camo, well done!

I agree! Very convincing representation of the Fokker streaking. Arnaud, how about a detailed tutorial of your technique?  :)
