I have begun work on the CSM Nieuport 11 early to be finished in the N3 scheme. The kit engine was assembled OOb, still lots of time to build up the courage to do the 3D printed version. Interior side panels, floor, and seat have been done in oils over a Polyscale Deck Tan base. Raw sienna and Burnt umber were used.

The engine is he kit plastic version. I still have lots of time to think about attempting the 3D version :o

When working with Edgar to get the replacement decal for the Bristol Scout, I ordered the Mask set for this one. It "Should" make those edge tapes easier to paint 8)

Thanks and the funny thing is it's not constructing the 3D engine that is daunting. It is removing the parts from the 3D runners ::)

The plastic engine looks very nice. But I actually waited to build the 3D printed engine on my Nieuport until I could not postpone the engine issue even longer because of the very same reasons
In the end I simply removed the parts by carefully breaking them off the printing gates with some pliers. That was all. No breakage and nothing as the printing gates are very delicate.

I am sitting in the audience with pleasure. There will be something to admire. Italian aviation is often on the sidelines, which is a pity.
