Hi!
So it is finally ready? the lighting for the photos was a bit harsh morning light, but it was the first opportunity here for a long time! The model followed closely to the building methods I described for my C.V/17. I chose the Li-built example because of the unusual mottled camouflage on the wings. I am happy about the cockpit details, but unfortunately the lighting conditions hid it all in darkness. I will photo them a bit later in more forgiving conditions.
Now to the self queen Ca.42, but there?s still the Albatros J.1 waiting for rigging. Let?s see which one makes to the work bench first?
Cheers, Skyhook

Well done, she looks very good. Good choice of scheme and excellent modelling work all round.
-
Lovely - great to see another unusual model in 'gentleman's scale' :D

Outstanding scratchbuild! Lovely results all around!

Beautiful result. Hard to believe it is scratch built.
-
That is a type which is not often seen. Superb scratch build and in God's Own Scale which makes it even more special. Excellent build.

Very nicely done! Is the serial number hand painted on decal sheet? If so well done!
-
Thanks! It indeed is handpainted. But the clear carrier film I used, was a bit too thick and clearly visible as a ?panel? behind the serial. I think i will use just a layer or two of clear laquer next time.

Nice model, a great scratchbuilt as usual!
But may I say your models deserve a better background for the photographs?
Cheers Joachim

Wonderful craftsmanship! Excellent interior details. That observation decking looks very difficult to construct.
Well done!
-
Excellent! I have an affinity with the later Albatros C types and you've made a great job with this one.
-
Really wonderful and scratch built to boot - well done!

Fantastic (as usual) looking model. The internals are tantalizing: the glimpses suggest nice details are hidden inside :)
