This is Jeannin Stahltaube 283/14, as seen at Aldershof-Johannisthal circa 1915.
The model is scratchbuilt in 1/144 using styrene, acrylic, brass, sterling silver, nichrome wire and a little 18ct yellow gold for the mainspar and tail.
This was the most challenging build I have done so far. The spoked wheels in particular were especially difficult, but they worked out in the end.
Build time was about 14 months for this one. Thank you to everybody who followed along. I am looking forward to what comes next ;)

That would be a great build for 1:32 scale, but for 1:144 it is beyond words.
-
Congratulation for this unique and exceptional model.
Honestly, this is by far the most impressive built I have ever witnessed. Thanks also for you wonderful build log! :)

Incredible work, I am lost for words.
This project is as good as any we've had here on the Forum and I've been here almost from the start! Congratulations, William, on a truly magnificent model; pure artistry!
Cheers,
Lance

What the?? Surely I am seeing things. Must be a 1/32 Taube and a 32/1 matchbox. Just incredible.

You defy the Law of Physics Maestro!

Unbelievable and totally amazing! Well done!!
-
This is simply unbelievable ...
-
Gobsmacked!
I am in awe of your modelling skills - and it only took 14 months! It took me longer to build a BE 2a in 1/32 scale!!!!
That is a real jewel of a model - a masterpiece in miniature.
I am really looking forward to what comes next.
Stephen.

Absolutely incredible work - it really looks larger scale too .....

This is amazing William, a great piece of modelling.
'My' scale is 1/72 but I prefer this tiny Taube to any of the large scale models that seem to be more popular now.
-
Totally in a league of its own, this is probably the best example of modelling of its kind that I?ve witnessed anywhere. Well done William.
Cheers,
Gary

Everything said above and more! I cannot wait to see what you've got in store for us next!!!

Words cannot describe how truly amazing and jaw dropping this is.
I give up... William is officially the winner of all modelling, ever.... from here on in I'm a model observer ;D
Well done as always William!

Fantastic work.
Where do you get those huge matches?
-
Simply out of this world!
Highest regards Joachim

That is a real masterpiece, the best model in 144th I have ever seen. I cannot wait for what you are going to stun us with next.
-
Where do you get those huge matches?
I don't know what I'd find more impressive: 1/144 scratchbuilt aeroplanes or oversized scratchbuilt matches to make 1/32 aeroplanes look small!
-
The ne plus ultra of our group!

There is not much to say, as words really don?t describe the amazing greatness of this model. So I just say ?Bloody H..l! :)

Thank you everybody for such kind words about this one. I have to think very carefully about what the next scratchbuilding will be. Current favourites are a Morane Type N or BE2c... ???
Here?s a few final shots without the 1:1 scale accessories. :D
