Model depicts Fokker D.VII D.4499/18 flown by Franz Mayer. Kit is the Eduard Fokker D.VII weekend edition.
-
The Lozenge in this kit was a better color combination than their previous lozenge decal color. The blue rib tapes were labor intensive and I had to paint in some areas particularly the leading and trailing edge.
-
My only issue was the lower wing was slightly warped. Tried to correct it the best I could. Otherwise this kit is the gold standard for the 1/72 Fokker D.VII. I presently have a Revell, MAC and Roden D.VII on the assembly line. Lots of extra parts to help out those other kits.

Very nicely done, she looks great. It is indeed a lovely kit and you did a great job.

Excellent work Rip, well executed!
I have several of these in my stash, I must get to building them one day...!
Cheers,

What a cute little Fokker!

In reply to the lozenge question. I like the colors on the weekend edition but not the aftermarket Eduard lozenge. It is easier to trim than Aviattic's lozenge and easier to patch if necessary. I had to touch up the trailing and leading edges a bit. The rib tapes can be aggravating and time consuming.

Lovely DVII. I have seen the scheme before, but it's not often Modeled! Well Done.

Apologies. I was not questioning your lozenge. I was trying to say that you had done a great job and that German lozenge fabric is my favourite. Unfortunately this website seems to insert random punctuation despite what I type on my keyboard.
Congratulations again.

That's a really interesting colour scheme - I haven't seen that one before. Really well done.
