I've spent hours and months scouring the www. for FS colors to match up with Vallejo numbers

Anyone tried the british colors?

Hi Allan
Yep I've used most of these at some point and find they brush pretty well and spray nicely.
I've bought them individually rather than sets, but it the same paint (and you only throw the box away)
I think the late PC10 is rather too green personally so I usually tweak the finished colour with oil paints when weathering. On my most recent builds I've added some brown to the bottle so I get a bit of variety on the shelf. The PC12 looks okayish although I've not used it apart from on leather seats and the like. Again with the German ones - they look pretty good IMO
Recently I've taken to lightening the colours a bit because in general they look a touch too dark under vanish on the small stuff (72nd) I build
I prefer them to the Vallejo air ones personally since they don't seem to seperate as easily when left on the rack for a while and are a bit easier handling
Hope that helps
Paul

I think it's a great set and I've used it quite a bit. Paints spray well and also good for brush touch-ups.
Haven't used for a wee while as I haven't built an early war (non-Lozenge) Jerry for a while, but I remember colours were pretty good.
Last one with the AK colours was a Roden Albatros D.III.
I was happy with the paints and will use again.

Sorry not the best angle to show the colours but nothing else on my hard disk just now. I'll try to post a plan view instead later! S

I have the German set and am also happy with them. I spray, and they are quite similar to Vallejo (I even mix them with Vallejo colours).
I?ve yet to use ?Fokker green? and I think Lilac, but I like the others that I have tried. I tend to mix colours for variation (ie I spray several non-covering layers, each with some slight tone or grey shift), but I think these pics are quite honest in showing how the colours look:

I have an older boxing I believe (see pic). They work well with an airbrush, although I use Vallejo Flow Improver mixed in. I particularly like the German green primer.

Thanks everyone, can't wait to try them, pleased you found them compatible with Vallejo.
Was going to tackle a Roland DVI but I think I should build up the allied numbers, I think a Sopwith Pup is in order.
