The BlueMax kit is calling me.
What is the collective average truth as to what color these rib tapes might be?

Could be light blue or could be grey, dunno.....Any thoughts?

Hi Allan,
It looks like plain linen rib tapes.
Happy Modeling, Kevin

Pink, blue or plain linen. Hope that helps ;)
Seriously, we don't know what the "truth" is as afaik the only surviving example has lozenge rib tapes, everything else is down to interpretation of b&w photos. Your choice.
Dan San Abbot stated that most Roland DVIs had CDL rib tapes. WNW calls out CDL for non-lozenge rib tapes on the DVIa and b kits and I'm going with that for mine. Mainly because Aviattic do decals with CDL tapes......

I would also go for CDL. Especially that one of losenge colours is a rather palish blue - and the tapes are clearly brighter than that. Common sense tells also that pink would come out darker. And the wise men from Aviattic and Wingnut Wings tell CDL. For me - that is enough "evidence" ;)
