Title: Airfix Tiger I tank
Post by: kensar on November 14, 2024, 05:34:04 AM
Here's a subject I would not likely choose for myself, but this was a Christmas gift from my wife, so I had to build it, right?
It is the Airfix Tiger I tank from WW2 from the battle of Kursk.  It was an interesting departure from aircraft and autos in that it required a different painting and assembly approach from those subjects.  I managed to get through it okay, but I prefer the ol' planes and cars subjects.

The build isn't completely out of the box, but is nearly so.  The biggest challenge was assembling all those track links and applying all the weathering.

Very nice job, and that looks like a nice kit. Much better than the Airfix Tiger tanks I built way back......

Indeed, a very fine modelling. Quite a detour from WW1 aviation, by the way  ;)
