I haven't posted on the forum lately due to an excursion away from WW1, but I have been lurking from time to time.
I have been building cars, mostly, and currently not far from finishing a Tiger tank model my wife got me for Christmas. The tank is certainly something different for me (the first one I've done).
First, a 1950s Talbot Lago T26C Grand Prix racer from a Heller kit. I scratchbuilt the wheels and added many small details.

Next, a 1/12 Trumpeter Ford GT40. Not depicting an actual GT40, but more like how I would like to see one. Again many scratchbuilt parts and corrections done to the base kit.

And finally, a scratchbuilt 1/24 Lister Jaguar from 1958 - the C modified class champion owned by Briggs Cunningham.
The body was carved from Renshape - a rigid polyurethane foam used in rapid prototype work. It was then coated with epoxy fiberglassing resin and finished off.

Hope this change of subject matter is not a breach of forum etiquitte. :)

Great work on your classic racing cars, Kensar!

Lovely work on all these. I'm trying to decide if I like the Talbot or the Jag best . . .
I've a definite soft spot for 'proper' Grand Prix cars, but I seem to remember seeing the Cunningham Jaguar at a promotional day at Browns Lane (My dad worked in quality control for Jaguar for a number of years so we were invited to the exhibition of Racing Jaguars they had assembled at the factory one year. I also recall a buttercup yellow D type and the XJ13 which were both real eye-catchers in a wonderful display of racing heritage)

Lovely work, I too am a sucker for 50s/60s racers. The sound those Knobblies make is amazing when they are going for it......
