Good evening Gents, here some pics of my Felixstowe F2a Flying boats line up...all are Roden ,built oob except for eduard PE scarff gun rings.Figures are cconverted airfix,HÄT,WDmodels. The boat is an Artmaster resin kit, also slightly altered. The diorama measures 2.00x0.75m,the watersurface is acrylic material, applied in several layers on transparent polystirene sheet painted on the underside.

Nuts!
I had big troubles selecting which of the many fanciful schemes to build, I admire your solution to that problem.
The slipway and water and beach are fabulous too.
Please keep it away from dust.
-
Flippin' nuts :o and wonderful.
Love your ambition not only building 5 Felixtowe's but then building a slipway and all associated paraphernalia - Brilliant 8)

Wow!!!! That is just incredible. Well done, I hope this is going to be on display somewhere.
-
Wunderbar, Matthias - what a stunner!
Certainly saves having to choose which option - just build them all!

Thanks a lot guys! It's not easy to take decent photos of the whole dio because of it's size...The dio itself took just a few months to complete. The first off the Felixstowe's I had built in 2006,the blue/white vertically streaked one.I had to remove the rigging to straighten the wings that had sagged with the years(and due to faulty construction)and rig her again. The other four have been build since 2019 .The last boat in the lineup featuring the red/whit zig zag nose was built by a fellow modeler from Hamburg,to whom I'm very grateful for taking on this burden!

Truly magnificent! So glad that someone's had the nerve to do a scene like this.
Having built a couple of Roden's Felixstowes, I have huge respect for what you've done here.
I've contemplated the images of the boats lined up on that slipway many a time. Black and white of course - thanks for bringing this fabulous scene into view in full colour, it vividly shows what an impressive sight it must have been.
You've brightened up my day!
Cheers, Mark

Truly stunning, what an exceptional display! I have never built one but know several modelers that tried, one even completed it! Great work on the other components as well ....... congratulations on a magnificent piece of the modelers art.

-
Thank you very much,Alexis !
-
Upon second look I see that that quite a lot of wine was consumed in support of those figures!
-
You're absolutely right,PJ... wine helps a lot doing fiddly work on figures or rigging Felixstowes !
-
I can't say much that hasn't already been said! Just WOW!! :o
