Title: 4-5 color lozenge question.....
Post by: Allan31 on September 27, 2024, 02:36:59 AM
Once upon a time these were considered the high water mark for this application because of research, color accuracy, etc.. Is this still the case?

Aviattic are definitely the most accurate available on the market IMO. I have to admit bias because I know Richard (proprietor of Aviattic) well, but I recently spent a couple of hours at Aviattic HQ where he showed me his original fabric samples and some of the research he has carried out over the years. He can back up all of his colour and design choices with original artifacts. He really cares about getting this stuff as correct as possible and has devoted many years to it.

Having said that, those decals you posted certainly don't look too bad. As always, your model, your choice...... ;)

Yeah. I've got dozens of lozenge sheets from Copper State Models, Eagle Strike, Microsculpt, and Aviattic. Considering what comes with most kits, I think that all of them are better. I say if it looks good to you then use it.
