Build with dedication to the undying memory of Dave Wilson - blue skies my friend.
Aviattic kit - a great boxing, a combination of carefully designed resin, 3D print, photoetch, textile and fantastic decals, well worth every praise already raised all around, let mine be added as well. Many thanks to Richard for bringing this one to the ww1 aviation modellers' world.
My modifications:
- polishing of 3D print traces all around the main elements
- removal of overdone leading and trailing edge raised details on the wings
- carved Wotan propeller from KoTeBi veneers
- electric wires in SH engine
- ingition key chain
- fuel, oil and electric lnstallations in the cockpit
- Gaspatch turnbuckles (I had the basic version without those, besides I do not like resin ones offered - I prefer the 3D print metal ones for their strength)
Time for the photos...

Absolutely gorgeous work - I really am impressed. It's a tough build, and you really turned out a beautiful result.
Cheers,
Gary

That is absolutely stunning! The propellor is a work of art in itself.

Absolutely wonderful model, Prze. Congratulations on one of the best builds bar none. I was going to ask about the propellor during construction but was afraid you'd say it was a commercially available one (which I always think is a bit of a cop out). But that you have carved it from veneers is exceptional. It alone is worthy of a prize!
Marvelous.

Superb work Przem, such lovely, precise modelling and nice subtle weathering. The end result looks stunning, you should be very proud of this one. I really enjoyed scrolling through the pictures.
I am not usually a fan of carved props because the grain can sometimes look overscale, but yours looks absolutely superb and very convincing. Again, a real testament to your modelling skills.

Superb work Przemek! What next?

Absolutely magnificent Prze, a standout amongst your spectacular productions over the years, in fact your best yet again! It's all here to marvel at, detail, unique scheme, and finish and just the perfect touch of subtle weathering. My eyes were immediately drawn to that hand carved 4 blade Wotan propeller, superb work. I know because I did one myself years back for the Roden D.III and can really appreciate your results, it's a real test of patience and skills! Good choice on the rigging hardware as well, I'm a great fan of the metal buckles and in the smaller scale.
Hearty congratulations on an exceptional and truly impressive model!
Cheers,
Lance

What can I add? I agree that the prop is a true masterpiece - wonderful carving skill on show there. The colour scheme is truly striking and the small details and subtle weathering take this to an exceptional level. Many congratulations.
Stephen.

Always a pleasure to view your work, Prez and this one is well up to your very high standards of workmanship.
Love your carved prop.

Many thanks, everyone, for your kind welcome to this model!
I see that everyone is liking the propeller - thank you! But I think that carving it from precut veneers is doable for anyone. I can strongly recommend those KoTeBi sets - there are already quite a few of them available.

Sandy, the carving procedure was reported early in the build log, starting from here :) https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=14419.msg266501#msg266501

I really don't know how you do it time and time again. I think I've said every nice thing there is to say about all your incredible builds already and here's another one!

I have only one word... Stunning! A beautiful tribute to Dave.
Your work continues to inspire us all Prze - never stop! ;D

Many thanks, gentlemen! :)

Just gorgeous! I assume you have seen the modern flying replica complete with a SH engine! It's amazing.
Really, really beautiful job. I always look to your builds for inspiration and I'll have to add this one to the list... ;)

Thank you!
I have seen a short movie with Mikael Carlson's replica flying. Maybe one day I will have a chance to see it in real.

Wowzer! :o 8)
You didn't take long with that one Prze and it looks gorgeous. I'm especially fond of the carved prop, but then I am slightly biased that way ;) Given their short service life I'm surprised at the number of different attractive schemes that are possible; love the one you've chosen.

Thank you, Paul :)
You have made a good point, indeed the abundance of colourful schemes in this type is surprising. Yet, it is great for us modellers, we have so many to choose from!
