My first vac form. Not perfect but I've learnt from my mistakes and will definately build more. Immensely enjoyable to build, highly recommended! Added extra details inside the cockpit. Strecthed sprue for the rigging (which for this model was the easiest part!).

and one more. I added extra details inside the cockpit because it's so visible - although the kit parts were pretty good. All of the parts went together well once they were cut out and sanded. I'm not entirely happy with the wings - Next time I'll try to make them thinner and the lower wing needs replacing really with a scratchbuilt one as it needs to extended by about 2mm.

Looks great. The fact that it is a Vac should make you proud, these are much harder than kits. I did a Vac that got relegated to the spares box.

Great job on this vacuform. I have a classic plane version but am afraid to tackle it.

Hi Will! An excellent representation, well done. Hats off for tackling such a rare and difficult subject!
Cheers,

That looks really good to me, good to see an A-H subject built up.

Love seeing any old vacform brought to life! This is great work.

Your vac form model Aviatic Berg looks brilliant to me!

Will,
So good to see an excellent build of a Joystick model. They turned out excellent models and you have brought yours to life. I have a soft spot for vacuforms and it is so good to see one come to life. A build to be proud of, especially since it is your first. I look forward to your next one.

Beautiful work on something I consider a dark art. ;)

As someone who has yet to build his first vac (I've got 4 hanging around) I can only hope that mine turns out as nicely as yours has.
Very nice work... neat subject too (guess that's the idea behind vacs...)
Take care

I've got a soft spot for Austro-Hungarian aircraft, and yours is a particularly beautiful example, especially so because you had so little to start with! Great job.

Great job Will
Got a several vac's on the shelf that I've pondered having a go at and a subject like this is always tempting

Thanks for all the kind comments! Next up is a full resin kit. I’ll post pictures when it’s done!

Lovely model - I am trying to find the Legato 1/48 version of this, but it is unobtainium
