Time for a quick Star Wars build again ;D
Think it's going to be a regular thing to do after some longer projects. Just something different and fun.
This time is a model from the tabletop game - Star Wars Legion. I don't play the game, I just really like the model. Think the only other model af this tank is an old AMT kit from the 90's.
The details are nice, but wow it required some sanding and filling. Luckily there's not much to sand around apart from some panel lines.
Only detail added is the drilled barrels.

I'm keen to get some of the models from this range just for display, as you've done. I've dabbled in gaming in the past but the range has some cool-looking models I just want on my shelf! I'm excited to follow along with your build.

I always thought it a pity one of these didn't run Jar-Jar over, but I guess that's just me giving in to the Dark Side...

@Zac - Theres some very cool models in this range! I like the droid "Snail tank" as well as some of the speeders / transports. Only negative is the price... Wargaming is expensive ::)
@Dutch - I know you are an Imperial at heart ;D But the Jar-jar comment i do agree with ;D ;D I know you can get a small 3D printed figure of him to hang from the tank barrel ;)

I am looking forward to seeing your painting Magic on this one!

Thank you RAGIII and EDO.
Scalemates lists the kit at about 1/56 - but I have read there is different opinions on this. The AT-ST from the set is slightly larger than the Bandai 1/48 version, so I guess its not a fixed scale for all of the models.
However its a good size for the shelf :)
I got some base paint on it! Just to give you an idea what direction im going.
had issues with tape lifting the paint. Mostly the problem was the multi layered chipping fluid.
This created some more texture on the surface. Instead of stripping the paint I decided to incorporate it in the final weathering. Other places were re-sprayed and chipped.
I plan on dialing some chipping back during the weathering.

Thank you Rick! ;D
Finished the model this week! Was a fun short project!
I can see myself building a few more of these!
I added some grass and rock to the base t give it a bit more life.
Also I really want to be better at taking photos, so i'm trying a few different things. I may have to invest in an actual camera at some point.
The color / white balance have been slightly edited in the final pictures.

Love it! Great job... I remember when the "new" movies came out I was greatly impressed with the designs of the hardware, and how they went to great pains to make them look totally different than the first three films. The Trade Federation stuff was especially well-done

Wow!
Not my thing but the work is wonderful, Ben -
Love the realistic weathered look to paint.

I agree with Dave - not for me but the paintwork is first class.

I love it. My son dipped his toes into table top figure painting. He did some nice Star Wars legion stormtroopers for his age (of 10). I definitely need to show him your Tank!

Thank you Andreas! I can definitely recommend these kits and the Bandai ones :)
Maybe I can get my boys interested when they are older.
