Title: Zlin Z-142 (1/72, KP)
Post by: PrzemoL on April 02, 2024, 08:21:21 AM
Here is a couple of photos of the model I built a few months ago. It is a gift to a person who flew it in 1989 in Poznań Aeroclub.
The kit is demanding with a poor fit. But after all I am quite satisfied and so was the recipient.

I had to double-check the title as I thought this was a 1/48 kit - well done Prze! KP kits reward extra effort and this a terrific example of that.

I hope the recipient treasures this lovely model for many years to come. Thank you for sharing it with us!

I can't add much to what Zac wrote, so I'll just say that each of your builds is a treat to read about. The thing that strikes me most about this one is that huge canopy... is that the kit piece, or a vacuformed replacement? It's marvelous, in either case.

Thank you for the kind words.

The model is almost out of the box. I only added the wire bits - the flaps pushrods, the aileron balances, the side steps and the antenna.
The canopy is also from the kit. It was pretty thick but still amazingly transparent and extremly smooth, I even did not use Future. And its fit was decent, though some tiny slots had to be filled with water-soluble putty.
